Biography

Maxim Munzuk was born on May 2, 1910 (according to other sources, his date of birth is September 15, 1912). The future actor was not even 18 years old when he voluntarily entered the ranks of the Tuva People's Revolutionary Army, where he found a music teacher in the person of Korovin Semyon Grigoryevich. As a bandmaster, this man first taught Maxim the musical basics, and then accepted him into his orchestra. Maxim Munzuk, thus, began to play the trumpet.

Having noticed how talented his student, Korovin seeks permission from the local authorities to send Maxim to study in the capital of the USSR. Permission was obtained, and soon the young man ended up in Moscow, but the lack of a confirmed musical education did not allow him to become a student of the Institute. Gnesins. It so happened that in the play “Hairaan Bot” he had a chance to play several roles, and he performed each of them brilliantly.

Thanks to his knowledge of the Russian language, the actor Maxim Munzuk, whose biography is full of bright events, in 1939 became one of the authors of the translation into the Tuvan language of the drama "Love Spring". At that time, the actor had many wonderful roles in such performances as “Rebellion” according to D. Furmanov, “Russian People” according to K. Simonov, “Poverty is not a vice” according to N. Three years later, actor Maxim Munzuk received what many famous actors dreamed of - the main role in the film of the inimitable director Akira Kurasawa. The biographical drama “Dersu Uzala” tells the story of the fate of two comrades - the writer Arsenyev and a brave hunter, whose wisdom and kindness cause sincere admiration of the audience during their joint fascinating journey. The film, for the production of which $ 4 million was spent, received several awards, including the Oscar as the best film in a foreign language.

In the late 1970s, director Andrei Konchalovsky invited the actor to play in the military drama in the format of the mini-series Sibiriada. In the film, the music for which was written by Eduard Artemyev, the main roles were performed by Natalya Andreichenko and Sergey Shakurov. In this story, a small Siberian village becomes the scene of everyday confrontation between the rich Solomins and the poor Ustyuzhanins. The film won the 1979 Cannes Film Festival, receiving the Grand Prix of the jury.
