The Golden Eagle Award is the national film award of Russia. Selection according to the nominations is carried out by the Expert Council. The award was established by the National Academy of Motion Picture Arts of Russia. It is awarded based on the results of the voting of the participants and correspondents of the academy.
About Prize
The Golden Eagle Cinema Award was established in March 4, 2002. The prize figurine is made of special gilded bronze. At the ends, enamel is the tricolor of the flag of Russia. The figurine is placed on a jasper pedestal. The author of this work is Victor Mitroshin. Such a figurine was used until 2013. Since 2014, an updated prize figurine has been awarded.
