To prepare the tart seasoning you need:

  • horseradish roots in an amount of 300 g;
  • fresh beets weighing 200 g;
  • a glass of drinking water;
  • a little more than a glass (250 ml) of 9% vinegar;
  • 20 g of salt and sugar.

Clean the horseradish root from dirt, rinse. If you took a root crop that was dug from the earth a long time ago, soak it overnight in cold water. So a little wilted roots can be saturated with moisture. After that, peel it with a regular knife or peeler.

The root crop should be chopped. This is most conveniently done with a meat grinder. In this case, you can use a plastic bag, which should be attached to the device. All frayed horseradish will be collected in a bag, and your eyes will be protected from irritation by a pungent odor.

Set the beets to cook. After it becomes soft, remove it from the water and allow to cool. Then peel off the skins. Grate the vegetable on a coarse grater or using a meat grinder.

To prepare a salad for the winter you will need:

  • fresh carrots in an amount of 1.7 kg;
  • sour apples in an amount of 100 g;
  • horseradish root in an amount of 100 g;

for filling:

  • drinking water with a volume of 1 liter;
  • salt in an amount of 80 g;
  • about 100 g of sugar.

Wash the carrots and horseradish roots. Remove the peel from them and grind with a regular grater. Rinse apples, cut into slices, cut the core. In prepared sterile jars, lay the grated ingredients and apple slices in layers. Pour in hot marinade. It is prepared like this: you need to boil water and add salt and sugar. If desired, after removing the brine from the fire, you can pour a little vinegar into it. Harvest from horseradish will turn out more acute. Cover the containers with tin lids and place in the pan for sterilization. Jars with a capacity of half a liter should be held for 15 minutes, liter - about 20.
