In order to pamper our households and guests with this dish, we need to prepare the following products: salted mushrooms, onions, cheese, mayonnaise, vegetable oil, boiled beef meat, pickles, chicken eggs, potatoes and carrots. As for the quantity, there are no strict restrictions: it all depends on your taste preferences. In general, it is recommended to use four to five medium-sized potatoes, three carrots, four eggs, 250-300 grams of hard cheese, a pound of meat, several pickles, 400 grams of pickled mushrooms, a small onion and mayonnaise to taste. Moreover, it is necessary to pay attention that mushrooms are needed precisely salted, in no case pickled. It is best to buy black mushrooms, but you can use mushrooms, traps and other plate mushrooms, in excess available today. As for cheese, in order for it to be easily rubbed, it is necessary to purchase hard varieties. It is best if it tastes pungent (Dutch cheese is a good option).

Cooking process

Since the salad โ€œStary Melnikโ€ is crushed ingredients laid out in layers on a large dish, let us dwell on the process of preparing each layer separately.

From a 400-gram can of mushrooms, pour the brine, chop the mushrooms into small pieces and spread them on a large dish. Add finely chopped onion, vegetable oil, mix thoroughly. Thus, we have obtained the first layer of delicious salad.

Grate the cheese on a fine grater, put it on a dish and grease with mayonnaise. The second layer is ready.

Next, we use pre-boiled beef, separated from the bones and chopped into small pieces. We spread the meat on a dish on top of cheese with mayonnaise.

Finely chop pickles - this will be our next layer.

Pre-boiled carrots, potatoes and eggs are also chopped into small pieces and gently spread them in layers on the salad. We offer you another option for preparing a hearty and beautiful dish. If you decide to treat your household and guests with such a salad, then you need to stock up on the following ingredients first: chicken fillet - one kilogram, three medium-sized pickled cucumbers, five medium-sized potatoes, eight chicken eggs, 200 grams of hard cheese, four carrots, a glass of pickled mushrooms (honey mushrooms are best for this dish), two onions, mayonnaise and salt to taste.

Cooking process

Boil chicken fillet, carrots, potatoes and eggs, cool them. Finely chop the pickled mushrooms. Onion is also finely chopped. You can pour boiling water on it for a few minutes to get rid of the bitter aftertaste. We clean the boiled potatoes and carrots. Cut the potatoes into small squares, and grate the carrots. Fillet is also chopped into small pieces. Grate the cheese, and chopped pickles finely.

First put the pickled mushrooms in the salad dish, and finely chopped onions on top. The next layer will consist of grated cheese with mayonnaise.
