This American dish is considered one of the most popular in the world. If you cook according to this recipe, very juicy steaks are obtained from beef neck. The named part of the carcass is ideal for home cooking, and even people who are not too much involved in cooking can prepare the dish.

To prepare two servings, you should take so many products:

  • beef neck - 500 g;
  • fresh rosemary - 1-2 branches;
  • some fresh or dried thyme;
  • sea ​​salt;
  • olive or vegetable oil;
  • pepper peas.

Further, we recommend doing this:

  1. The meat needs to be cut into two identical pieces and, if you have time, you can not beat it. In the case of a quick pickling, it should be slightly beaten off with a culinary hammer, but the thickness of the meat should not be less than 3 cm.
  2. Sprinkle each piece of sea salt, put thyme and rosemary. Place the meat in a small container, add oil. Mix thoroughly and set aside for at least 2 hours.
  3. Fry semi-finished products in a well-heated grill pan for 3 minutes on each side.
  4. Bring to readiness in the oven. If you like completely fried meat, it needs to be cooked for another 10-12 minutes, and in the case of medium fried, 7 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees.

Serving this dish is recommended with french fries or a light salad.

This dish is more suitable for a festive table as a juicy meat cut. A whole piece of the collar is baked in the oven in foil, which makes it very tender and juicy. For cooking, you should take:

  • 1 kg of beef neck;
  • 50 ml of soy sauce;
  • 100 g of acute adjika;
  • a little ginger;
  • olive oil.

From spices, coriander and paprika should be used.

How to cook?

This recipe for beef neck with a photo is quite simple:

  1. The meat must be washed and cleaned from the veins, put it in a deep bowl.
  2. Sprinkle the product abundantly with all the spices, pour in soy sauce, olive oil and add adjika.
  3. Mix everything thoroughly, rubbing the ingredients into a piece of meat.
  4. Cover the container with cling film or a lid. Set aside for the whole night (the longer the meat is pickled, the more tender it will be in the finished state).

  • After the time allotted for the pickling, put the beef on a foil greased with olive or vegetable oil, and tightly wrap.
  • Turn on the oven and preheat it to 250 degrees.
  • Place beef neck in it, cook for 20 minutes. After the meat has received the required amount of high temperature, it must be reduced to 180-190 and cook another 30-40 minutes.
  • After the allotted time, you can remove the product from the oven and remove the foil.
  • The dish is ready to eat, but if you need a golden brown crust, you can still hold it a little in the oven without foil at high temperature.

Ready meat can be served hot or wait until it cools. In this case, it is better to cut it into thin slices, put on plates and serve as a cold snack.
