The medicine "Bronchomunal" application instructions refers to the clinical and pharmacological group of immunostimulating drugs of bacterial origin. The medication is available in the form of hard gelatin opaque capsules (three and a half or seven milligrams). Their contents are a beige powder.
The active substance is represented by a lyophilized bacteria lysate, and among the auxiliary components - anhydrous propyl gallate, sodium glutamate, magnesium stearate, mannitol, gelatinized starch, titanium dioxide, gelatin, indigotine.
The medication goes on sale in blisters placed in cardboard packs.
The pharmaceutical preparation Bronchomunal stimulates humoral and cellular immunity. It also reduces the frequency and severity of infections, which reduces the need for antibiotics.
The Bronchomunal medication is prescribed for use in the following cases:
· For the treatment of respiratory diseases of an infectious nature (including in children from the age of six months).
· For the prevention of recurrence of infections localized in the lower and upper respiratory tract, such as tonsillitis, bronchitis, laryngitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis, otitis media, rhinitis.

For children over twelve years of age and adult patients, seven milligrams of the drug is indicated per day, patients from six months to twelve years are prescribed three and a half milligrams daily.
The drug is taken once a day on an empty stomach (preferably in the morning). If it is not possible to swallow the whole capsule, it can be opened and the medicinal powder diluted with juice, milk or tea.
For preventive purposes (to prevent infectious diseases), it is recommended to conduct three ten-day therapeutic courses with breaks of twenty days.
In the acute phase of the disease, it is indicated to take one capsule per day until the symptoms disappear completely, but not less than ten days.
The drug "Bronchomunal" is a medicine that practically does not cause side symptoms. In rare cases, disorders of the digestive system (pain in the epigastrium, loose stools, nausea or vomiting), as well as an increase in the patient’s body temperature, were recorded.
With a slight severity of undesirable effects, it is not required to cancel the drug.
The drug in question is contraindicated in case of individual intolerance to its components.
If necessary, the medication can be used while breastfeeding and while the baby is waiting, but this should be done with extreme caution and only under the supervision of the attending physician.
