Biography
Kurt Wagner (Marvel) is a mutant of German origin. The boy’s mother (as it turned out years later, a mutant nicknamed Mystic) threw her newborn son into the waterfall in order to escape from the angry villagers. However, the boy survived. After some time, he was found by a gypsy, who was engaged in raising a child. The so-called gene X was manifested in the boy from birth in the form of a tail, fur, fang-shaped teeth, pointed ears, etc. Because of his unusual appearance, Kurt Wagner experienced a lot of suffering and persecution from people.
Kurt’s childhood passed in a traveling circus. There he could live quietly without any harassment from the public. In his youth, Kurt Wagner became a great acrobat. The audience, in turn, perceived the appearance of the artist as a masquerade and part of the show. Nevertheless, a quiet and carefree life did not last long. The circus was bought by a Texas millionaire who wanted Kurt to join his Freak Show. The young man was not happy with such a prospect, it was for this reason that he was forced to flee.
Kurt Wagner moved to the German city of Winseldorf. However, trouble overtook the guy there. Residents of the town accused Kurt of a series of brutal murders and decided to punish the "demon". The Night Serpent was rescued from the mob by Professor X, who temporarily paralyzed the crowd with his mental abilities. The telepath invited Kurt to join his team of mutants, which he eagerly agreed.
Abilities
Kurt's calling card is teleportation. The Night Serpent is able to move almost instantly in space. Teleportations are accompanied by thick puffs of smoke, the smell of burnt sulfur and a loud bump sound. Kurt can also move things (for example, his clothes) and one or two allies. It is worth noting that Poprygun is well oriented in space, but he can not penetrate into a solid. It is for this reason that Kurt cannot teleport to a place that he does not see. There is an opinion among fans that Kurt Wagner and Kitty Pride are perfectly combined in terms of mutant powers. The Night Serpent can move to any place, and Catherine can pass through any matter, which eliminates the main disadvantage of teleportation.
In addition, the Night Serpent has incredible flexibility. Its spine is more flexible than humans. This allows him to perform the most difficult acrobatic stunts, which helps a lot during the battle.
