Kurnik is one of the varieties of Russian pie, characterized by a variety of fillings and dough. Some peoples have similar pies with a different name. The traditional henhouse is made in several layers with various fillings: pork, chicken, duck, potatoes, buckwheat, millet, goose. The dough can be either pastry, or yeast or puff. And some craftswomen make it even easier - batter. Such a dough is very good in that it makes the cake homogeneous, not allowing the filling to crumble to the sides. Children will appreciate!

Potatoes with meat are a favorite combination of the majority of Russian residents. Well, a pie with such a filling is loved by both adults and children. The meat can be almost anything: chicken, pork, duck or goose. The difference is only in taste and cooking time. For a lazy chicken house, the most suitable combination is potato + onion + chicken fillet. Such a cake will be very tender and juicy, which is very important for children.

Quick dough

In order for your dough to blend perfectly with the filling, there is a little secret: add mayonnaise to both components of the future chicken. Mayonnaise goes well with chicken, the lazy chicken filling will be very juicy. For the test you need very few products, they are in almost every refrigerator always. It:

  • mayonnaise (preferably on a quail egg) - one hundred grams;
  • sour cream (preferably homemade or high fat) - one hundred grams;
  • soda - half a teaspoon;
  • salt - to your taste;
  • chicken eggs (large) - two pieces, if quail - eight;
  • flour - one faceted glass (250 grams).

Delicate filling

In order to achieve a delicate consistency, the chicken fillet must first be boiled in water, adding a couple of leaves of parsley. A quick tip: never salt water when boiling chicken until it is cooked completely. Salt will make tender fillet much tougher.

Ingredients:

  • chicken breast - one (large);
  • potatoes - four pieces (large size);
  • small onion;
  • vegetable oil - two dessert spoons;
  • spices - to taste (it is advisable to add black pepper for piquancy and mayonnaise for a gentle taste).

We start to cook the lazy chicken with the filling. To do this, pre-boil the fillet, using the advice. Cut the finished meat into strips, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add the onion, chopped into small pieces of meat, and mix well. This is so that the fillet is saturated with onion juice and becomes even softer. The washed and peeled potatoes are cut into strips, the thickness of which should not be more than meat. Combine the ingredients, add mayonnaise if desired and mix again. Do not forget to taste it!

Grease a baking sheet with oil, and then there are two cooking options. The first is to sprinkle the bottom with breadcrumbs if you want a crispy bottom. The second option is to pour a little dough for a uniform bottom layer. Next, lay out the filling, without touching the sides. Pour the top layer slowly so that the batter seeps into all the holes of the filling.

Before baking, it is necessary to warm the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees. We put the baking sheet in the oven and note the time. Exactly 35 minutes later, a brown crust should appear on your henhouse, as soon as you notice it, take out the cake and cover with foil. Put it back - the chicken should go, steam. Wait another twenty minutes and turn off the oven. After half an hour, get out your lazy chicken house and call everyone to the table.
