Suppositories "Methyluracil" instructions describe as a tool that effectively accelerates the processes of regeneration (restoration) of cells, wound healing, and also helps to stimulate cellular and humoral (tissue) protection factors. The drug activates leuko- and erythropoiesis. It produces an anabolic and anti-catabolic effect.
Using the candles “Methyluracil” (the instruction informs), the patient provides stimulation of the production of red blood cells and white blood cells, which is especially important for radiotherapy and radiotherapy, as well as other conditions characterized by leukopenia, i.e. lowering the level of white blood cells in the blood. The medication in question is generally well tolerated. In some cases, after the administration of a suppository, a short, slight burning sensation may be felt. Suppositories with methyluracil in gynecology are used vaginally. They are prescribed, as a rule, after surgical interventions (during operations on the cervix, vagina). In the treatment of cervical erosion, this dosage form is used to provide local regenerative and wound healing effects.
The duration of treatment can be from one to sixteen weeks. In special cases, two suppositories can be prescribed up to four times a day (this is the maximum dose). The drug helps to cure cystitis, colpitis, mechanical damage to the vagina or cervix, erosion of the genital organs.
The medication is not prescribed for lymphogranulomatosis, leukemia (in acute and chronic leukemic form), as well as for malignant diseases affecting the bone marrow. It is contraindicated in patients under three years of age.

The specified drug is sold in cardboard packages of ten candles in each (two blisters of five suppositories in each). One suppository - five hundred milligrams of the active ingredient and excipients (among them starch, stearic acid, polyvinylpyrrolidone).
