Choi is an idol of several generations. Even people born much later than his death know who Tsoi is and sing his songs. The second such personality, Russian culture did not give birth, perhaps, since the time of Vysotsky. The proof can already be the fact that the Theological Cemetery in St. Petersburg, where Viktor Tsoi is buried, is still actually a Mecca for fans of his work.
Mysterious death
The death of Tsoi is still largely a mystery. None of those who knew him agreed with the official version of the death of a popular idol. First of all, because he drove the car well enough, and although he liked to scam, he still had considerable experience not to get into an accident because of the inability to turn the steering wheel. The idea that Choi fell asleep at the wheel, from the point of view of relatives - friends and relatives - does not even deserve consideration. It was only about 15 minutes to the river where he went to fish, and this is not the time for which he will have time to disperse his attention, and not such a distance that a well-rested person has time to get tired.
Some people are inclined to believe that the accident was rigged - too many were displeased with the personality of Tsoi. In the cemetery where Tsoi was buried, this idea is still vividly discussed. However, some relatives and friends doubt this version.

Perhaps where Tsoi was buried is known, not only to any person in Russia, but, probably, to half (at least) of the rest of the civilized world. The singer’s grave is still a place of pilgrimage for many thousands of people who often first heard his songs after his funeral. We will not touch on the sad topic of suicides, which are associated both by their participants and commentators with the death of a person who has become an idol. It’s probably not worth mentioning the people carrying the guard where Choi is buried. Although it seems to us that their feelings and the work of the singer himself are worthy of respect and understanding (except for suicides - Tsoi was too fond of life and would hardly approve of her unauthorized interruption).
In 1990, there was no requiem at the Theological Cemetery, not even a civil one. Instead, an exposition on the wall spontaneously formed from posters, amateur (and sometimes professional) drawings, poetic dedications, flags, badges - the most diverse manifestations of human memory. And in Moscow, where there was no access to the place where Tsoi was buried, a wall formed itself by the likeness of the wailing wall in Jerusalem. It still exists in Krivoarbatsky Lane.
And even if you first came to St. Petersburg, but want to visit the grave of the leader of the Kino group, it is not necessary to scrupulously find out where Tsoi was buried. It is enough to find a way to the Theological Cemetery. The desired grave is located in an alley parallel to the central one. In principle, only a blind person can pass by it - after almost fifteen years, the last “house” of Viktor Tsoi is still in flowers, and next to it is either a lamp or a candle. Well, if you’re completely at a loss, the cemetery caretaker will be happy to tell you where to go in order to see the last shelter of a “star named Sun”.
