“Sayan” is a non-alcoholic highly carbonated drink of greenish-wheat color, very famous in the Soviet Union.
In addition to the usual lemonade base, which is made from granulated sugar and sparkling water, the drug contains a concentrate of leuzea. This is precisely what gave him a unique aftertaste and result.
"Sayan": the most famous Soviet drink
To be precise, Sayany with lemonade flavor is not at all a simple carbonated drink, but a tonic. That is what was written on the label.
In 1935, a factory was founded in the Soviet Union. Its rise came in the 60-70s, then the scientists of the institution created several famous drinks. Among them - “Tea”, “Pear”, “Pinocchio”, “Bell” and, of course, “Sayan”. In addition to the usual lemonade base, it has a concentrate of levzea grass. This plant brought a special wormwood bitterishness, pine smell and attractive taste. The drink is enough just to recover in the sultry period.
Creation of Sayana lemonade: composition of the drink
Like all Soviet soda drinks without exception, the Sayans were poured into empty bottles of half a liter capacity. The tin cap of lemonade was removed only with a special opener, and it was already impossible to cover the bottle back. On a semicircular label that was glued to the top of the bottle, high mountain tops covered with snow cover are drawn. Since the base for lemonade was natural products, in this case, with a view to its preservation, a shelf life of 7 days was set. Agree, this is a bit. After its expiration, a precipitate began to form at the bottom of the bottle. A tasty potion cost 27 kopecks, taking into account the cost of glass containers. Unnecessary empty bottles left after lemonade could be returned to the recycling department and 12 kopecks returned. Drink "Sayan" is a lemonade, its taste is very different from all available.
Drink history
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the market symbol "Sayan" became the subject of a number of legal proceedings. They ended in 2015. Nowadays, the drink is produced in small batches at some companies. The most developed production is Aqualife, which sells Sayan under the single brand name Drinks from Chernogolovka.
It is worth saying that now preservatives are added to it, and the shelf life has been increased to 12 months. Consumers who have already tried the recently released Sayans in public surveys rated them fairly well. But the statistics in domestic shopping centers indicate a huge attention to foreign sparkling water. An explanation of this precedent, of course, is available. However, it will not be discussed here. "Sayan" - lemonade with the taste of our childhood.
