Therefore, fresh in the refrigerator or just in a cool room, it can lie for up to one month. Of course, for the winter, harvesting lingonberries is somewhat more difficult. You can freeze it just like that or with sugar, make a tasty stock of it or make jam. You will not regret it - lingonberries contain a huge amount of vitamins, minerals and acids that help maintain immunity in the winter for both adults and children. Also, fresh or grated with sugar berry is an excellent remedy for colds. When the first signs of the disease appear, just drink hot tea with jam, cover yourself with a warm blanket to sweat well, and in the morning the illness does not happen.

Therefore, the second most popular way of harvesting them for future use is stock, which does not need to be boiled. For it, you will need fresh berries (1 kilogram) and the same amount of granulated sugar or a little more if you really like sweets. Lingonberries need to be washed, cleaned of twigs and leaves, covered with sugar and mixed. You have the right to wait a few hours or night, the berry will give juice, but you can make supplies right away. Beat the prepared mass in a blender or twist through a meat grinder, mix well and pour into sterilized jars. After they need to be rolled up and put away in a cool place for storage. Due to the high acid content, such lingonberry stock can stand for quite a long time - a year or more. In winter, you can make a vitamin drink from it - just stir a tablespoon of jam in a glass of water, add honey and drink. Thus, you will provide the body with useful substances and maintain immunity in the cold season.

Storing lingonberries is usually not a problem, and you can choose to make jam from a variety of methods. Take this recipe as a basis - it is classic, but to taste you can add apples, oranges or cinnamon to the berries, it will turn out just as tasty. For one kilogram of lingonberry, you will need a kilogram or a little more sugar. Wash the berry, sort it out, put it in a bowl for cooking and pour it over with sand, let it stand for a while - it should give juice. After putting the pan on the stove, bring to a boil and cook over low heat for half an hour. Do not worry if the jam turned out to be liquid - after cooling it thickens a little. Done - put the workpiece in jars, cork with lids and send for storage. You will not regret it if there is lingonberry among your stocks: storing the berry is unpretentious enough - the supplies do not spoil for a very long time even at room temperature, and in winter you can support the body with useful vitamins, of which there are so many in its composition.
