The Accept group was created in 1971 by Michael Wagener, who was in charge of guitar parts, and Udo Dirkschneider, who had vocals. The name of the group was borrowed from the album of the same name by the British group "Chicken Shack". At first, the Accept group performed exclusively in clubs. The question of the beginning of a professional career was not even raised. At the same time, the composition of the group changed so often that its members themselves do not remember all the musicians who participated in the group. A stable group was formed only in 1975. It included Udo Dirkschneider (who was engaged in vocals), Wolf Hoffmann and Gerhard Stahl (responsible for playing the guitar), Dieter Rubach (bass) and Frank Friedrich (drums). In 1976, the group replaced the bass player, Peter Baltes became its new member. It is this composition that is considered to be the first and official. As a matter of fact, only then was the first official contract signed with a recording studio. It is worth noting that back in 1975 the rock group "Acceptance" attracted the attention of the general public, having won a talent contest.

In 1977, the group toured extensively, and in 1978 set to recording their debut album. It was already released in 1979. The first album, named after the group itself, quite confidently began to conquer the European charts. After that, the sale of the first album began in the United States. At this time, the drummer left the group. Stefan Kaufmann became its new member. It was this composition of the group that was recognized as classic. And already in 1979 the group started releasing a second album, which in 1980 was already sold on both sides of the Atlantic. In 1984, the gang went on a tour of Europe, visiting the United States. The songs of the group "Acceptance" began to enjoy popularity in Japan. Brutal musicians visited this country in 1985. In 1996, members of the musical group decided to complete their work, having finally carried out their last performance in Tokyo.
But already in 2005, the group gathered again, after a short tour. Until 2009, the group was not heard by the general public. Nevertheless, having gathered again, the band members began to conduct active rehearsals and prepare to record a new album, which was released in August 2010. The album was quite successfully sold in Europe and the USA. In May 2010, the musical group went on a tour of Europe, giving concerts in the United States and Russia.
