A man with a gorgeous admiral's beard, known mainly as an artist, but at the same time the author and presenter of the programs “Recipe Hunters” and “House at Your Plate”, radio host, author of cooking columns. All this is Tsigal Sergey Viktorovich. A versatile person who boldly throws himself into adventures, such as survival races on “wrecks,” and an actor and tennis player winning them.
A family
Sergey’s family comes from Odessa, where his grandfather was a civil engineer. The fact that Sergei Tsigal became a famous artist is probably an accidental event. He is a descendant of talented and famous people. His father is the famous sculptor Viktor Tsigal, whose work is well known to Muscovites. And the grandmother of Sergei Marietta Shaginyan, the famous Soviet science fiction writer, was one of the first in the USSR to start creating in this genre. Another famous member of the Sergey family was many beloved actress Lyubov Polishchuk. Not to mention uncle, cousin and other close relatives - it seems that the whole Tsigale family is generously endowed with talent. And Masha Tsigal is known as a talented actress, whose parents are Lyubov Polishchuk and Sergey Tsigal.
Biography
Sergey's biography began on December 6, 1949 in Moscow. He was born in the family of sculptor Viktor Tsigal and artist Mirel Shaginyan.
From school, Tsigal began to show a craving for travel; at 16, he went on an expedition to South Sakhalin. Biology was another hobby of the future animal painter since childhood, Sergei was carried away by it after one day the teacher took him to the ichthyology department, where he was allowed to open various fish. And despite the fact that Sergei Tsigal subsequently graduated from the Faculty of Geography of Moscow State University (in 1973), the craving for biology did not disappear. He worked in the laboratory GELAN (Helminthological Laboratory of the USSR Academy of Sciences), led by KI Skryabin, an outstanding domestic scientist, the founder of Russian helminthology (the science of parasites). Carried away by this science, Sergey Tsigal wrote a diploma on parasites of salmonids and after university became an employee of the All-Russian Research Institute of Marine Fisheries and Oceanography.
At 30, he decided to quit his career as a scientist and become a freelance artist.
Artist career
Sergei Tsigal until the age of 30 did not study drawing and never tried to do it. But it was at this age, with the help of his father, that he joined the Youth Union of Artists. He began classes in the drawing circle.
Having decided to professionally draw, Sergei enters the famous Stroganov School, where he studies at the faculty of “interior and equipment”. At this time, he begins to travel to studies in the Crimea, to engage in jewelry. Then they get a greyhound dog and their father and son, Victor and Sergey, start to draw it.
Tsigal Sergey animal artist appears in this period.
In 1989, he became a member of the Moscow Union of Artists. Now his works are in the fund of the Ministry of Culture of Russia, in the State Museum of Ecuador, in the Museum of Modern Art. Many works are in private collections.
With his exhibitions, Sergey traveled all over our vast country and not only, but to a wide circle of people, he is known mainly as a leading culinary specialist.
Leading career and journalist
This new milestone began in Sergei’s life in 1995, when, at the invitation of the editor-in-chief of Itogi weekly Sergey Parkhomenko, he began to lead a culinary page. Then there were works in the magazines "Hedgehog", "Way and Driver", "New Russian Word", "GQ" and others. A wealth of life experience, trips abroad and around the country helped, numerous acquaintances who shared their experiences, helped write interesting articles, and none of them could do without a prescription.
Then Sergey and his wife Lyubov Polishchuk received an offer from Mikhail Shirvindt and Alexander Konyashov to create a series of culinary programs called Recipe Hunters. We showed this program on Channel One. And then this program began to go out on the Domashny channel, but Sergey already led it together with his daughter Masha. In the program, father and daughter share culinary secrets obtained in different parts of the country and from different people.
Personal life
In 1981, when he saw Lyubov Polishchuk in one of the performances, Sergey clearly decided that this was the woman with whom he would like to associate fate. The artist began to attend all the performances with her participation, connected all his friends who could somehow help get to know the beauty. Perseverance was rewarded, the actress reciprocated an ardent artist. They were happy together, but were not going to sign, until it became clear that Lyuba was expecting a baby. Sergei's parents warmly supported their decision to legitimize the relationship. And the daughter was born in honor of the grandmother Marietta Shaginyan (but for many she is just Masha).
It was a very harmonious couple, they did a lot together - traveled, cooked, spent their holidays in Crimea, argued, but always supported each other.
Sergei did not give up until the very last moment, did not give up and did not abandon attempts to cure Love from a terrible disease. But, alas, fate decreed otherwise.
Twenty years in a marriage filled with love, happiness, emotions, passions, Lyubov Polishchuk and Sergey Tsigal lived. Photos of this couples are always conveyed by those bright, kind, sincere feelings that these people had for each other.
Tsigal and Makarov
In addition to Marietta, Sergei was also engaged in the education of his son Lyubov Polishchuk from his first marriage. After the couple formalized their relationship, Love took her son from the boarding school, and they began to live together. Alexei Makarov, the stepson of Tsigal, always rested with his mother and stepfather in the Crimea and rejoiced at the appearance of his sister. But after the death of Polishchuk, a split occurred in the family. Relations between Sergei and Alexei Makarov did not work out, it turned out the only thing that connected them was Love. The struggle for the inheritance did not add warmth to their relationship, and today Sergey and stepson hardly communicate.
Conclusion
Sergey was very upset by the loss of his wife. Severe grief led to health problems. For several years, Tsigal did not let anyone near his heart, but in the end he again met his happiness, he had a woman, according to some reports, very similar to her first wife.
