Medicines, the active substance of which is nimesulide, have anti-inflammatory and significant analgesic effects. Such is the non-steroidal drug Nise. It is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, arthritis, myalgia, arthralgia, bursitis, tendonitis, algodismenorrhea, to alleviate postoperative and post-traumatic pains, toothache and headaches, fevers of various origins. It is available in the form of tablets having a white color with a yellowish tinge, and a gel (transparent light yellow or yellow) for external use. The tablets have a round, biconvex shape and smooth surface. Only 100 mg of nimesulide contains 1 tablet of the Nise drug. The instruction lists the excipients: corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, calcium hydrogen phosphate, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, purified talc, colloidal anhydrous silicon. 1 g of 1% gel contains 10 mg of nimesulide. Excipients of the gel are: propylene glycol, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, macrogol, carbomer 940, isopropanol, butylhydroxyanisole, potassium phosphate, thimerosal, water, flavoring.

The first drug containing nimesulide was released in Italy (for example, "Aulin" and "Mesulid") in 1985 and is currently available in more than 50 countries: France, Portugal, Greece, Switzerland, Belgium, Mexico and Brazil. . The medicine has a multifactorial and very fast mechanism of action, including having an inhibitory effect on the COX-2 enzyme (one of the cyclooxygenase isoforms that regulates the formation of prostaglandins from arachidonic acid). Therefore, in the treatment of a wide range of inflammatory processes, the drug Nise is used. The instruction recommends its use for the treatment of acute pain, symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis and primary dysmenorrhea (a cyclic pathological condition on the days of menstruation, manifested by severe pain in the lower abdomen) in adolescence and adulthood. Nimesulide has increased safety for the gastrointestinal tract compared with other NSAIDs.

Always with special care is prescribed the drug "Nise." The instruction warns patients with heart failure, arterial hypertension, type 2 diabetes. But for the elderly, no dosage adjustment is needed. Long-term use of this medication requires systematic monitoring of kidney and liver function. The occurrence of adverse reactions (in the form of heartburn, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gastralgia, ulceration of the gastrointestinal mucosa, headache, dizziness, fluid retention, allergic reactions, including skin rash, anaphylactic shock) is a signal to seek medical advice. . Pain in the epigastric region, respiratory depression, acute renal failure, anaphylactic reactions, as well as coma may occur.
