Puff pastry pies - fast, tasty, elegant

Pies is a dish we have loved since childhood, reminiscent of the school holidays spent with my grandmother: long summer walks with friends and warm and cozy evenings with a mug of delicious and fresh milk. I remember you run home from the street, hungry, tired, grab your dirty pie before you have enough time to cool down the pie and enjoy the most delicious that can be invented by humanity, at least as it seems at that moment.

Times have changed, we have grown up, created our own family, homeliness and still remain fans of pies. Someone still prefers to mess with the pastry, someone buys it in a store, and lovers of light and airy French pastries have replaced it with puff.

Puff pastry came to us directly from medieval France, the author of his recipe is the famous, thanks to his invention, French chef Claudius Gele. Being a poor and modest student of a pastry chef, he accidentally invented a brilliant recipe that has spread throughout the world and has been pleasing us with its gentle and light consistency for several centuries. Many great dishes and desserts have come and still are thanks to puff pastry: cakes, pies, puff pastry pies, bread, rolls, croissants and many different options.

Puff pastry pies - a great breakfast for children and husband. Experiment with toppings. You can put berries, fruits, chicken, mushrooms, cheese or cottage cheese inside - in any case, puff pastry will do its job and pies will become a favorite treat of your household.

The filling for puff pastries can also depend on which cuisine you prefer. The French, for example, adore sweet croissants with berries, cheese, chocolate and cream. For Italians, tomatoes and olives are the most important component. In the East, a variety of sweets are made from this test mainly.

Puff pastries with chicken, cheese and mushrooms are especially popular among Russian puff pastry lovers. They are always juicy, tender and crispy. They perfectly satisfy hunger, but are also incredible in calories, so those who fear for their forms should limit themselves to such baking.

Shop puffs are not always fresh, so it’s better to cook puff pastry pies yourself. Dough can be bought at the store or made manually at home. To cook it, you don’t need any special cooking skills. Just a little patience, good mood and the necessary ingredients. Mix the flour with water and salt, form a ball and roll it. Put a packet of slightly melted butter on top, roll up and roll out again, then again and again. Then wrap the dough in a bag and put it in the cold for a day. The next day, roll it several times and roll it out. That's all, you can create an alternative to the store puff pastry at your disposal.

Puff pastry pies are also quite easy to prepare, and most importantly - they cannot be spoiled. Take a piece of dough, roll it lightly, but not hard, otherwise the pies will be hard and not at all airy. They rolled it out, now we spread the filling or just sprinkle it with sugar and turn it as you like: with a curl, in the form of a croissant or a pie, and put it in the oven for 20 minutes. Do not forget to grease them with an egg before editing the pies into the oven, so that they turn rosy.

These pies are especially delicious for breakfast with coffee or tea. Moreover, the preparation takes very little time, especially if the dough and filling are ready. Let your morning be as fragrant, tender and fresh as puff pastry pies!
