Eye sketch
The first step in drawing a cat's eye is to create a sketch. Therefore, to begin with, depict the oval at a slight angle. But you don’t have to draw an oval, you can draw a circle or a triangle. The choice of shape depends on what shape you want to give the eye.
The next three steps include drawing a pupil, large or small, adding a highlight, which is a reflection of the light source, and at the end an image of the tear duct.
After that, you can clarify the contour of the eye and paint over the pupil. Remember, if you are going to wipe any parts, then draw lines with only a slight pressure on the pencil. If you are sure that you will not make any changes, you can make clear black lines.
Adding Shadows
Next, to draw cat's eyes, you need to add shadows. To begin with, you should obscure the iris of the eye. Start to lightly paint over the inside of the eye, leaving a small, unshaded gap around the pupil. This will add some volume.
