In 2013, the master of domestic melodramas Anatoly Mateshko presented his next film masterpiece “General's daughter-in-law” to the audience. The actors of the Russian series did not leave the spectators indifferent, and the plot “requires” a continuation.

Ira is in seventh heaven with happiness, but not only because of a successful start in her career. The girl is in love with Pavel Mishin, a promising young guy from a wealthy family. The guys decided to get married, and Irina found out that she was pregnant. And everything would have worked out well, only the mother of the “heir” of the Mishin dynasty had other plans regarding her future offspring. She decided at all costs to connect his fate with the daughter of her housekeeper. When the tyrannical general knows that her dreams are not destined to come true, she decides to simply ruin the life of her daughter-in-law. Whoever wins the battle between two strong-willed women will show time.
“General daughter-in-law,” whose actors showed a brilliant game on the set, is a worldly melodrama. She will surely remind many women of their fate. The relationship between the mother-in-law and the daughter-in-law resemble a roller coaster: today everything is fine, and tomorrow there is a huge scandal with a lot of negativity and tears. Anatoly Mateshko recreated as much as possible all life squabbles - sometimes comical, in most cases - tragic.

For the filming in his mini-series, the eminent director gathered a "motley" cast of actors. Already recognizable faces were involved - Natalia Antonova, Igor Botvin, Ekaterina Kisten, and novice actors, for example, Solomiya Gega.
Natalia Antonova and Igor Botvin embodied on the screens the lovers of the newlyweds Mishin, and Larisa Kadochnikova turned into a tyrannical mother-in-law.
