The worldwide recognition and success of male pop groups could not in any way affect the Russian stage. Of course, many of them cannot be put on a par with the giants of a universal scale, which can be safely called The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Ice Zeppelin and many others, but still they managed to inspire many domestic producers to create no less popular the audience of boy bands. One of the successful projects, undoubtedly, was the “Prime Minister” group, whose old composition is especially loved by the youth of the 1990-2000s.
Who decided to create the Prime Minister group?
The idea of creating a creative team consisting exclusively of attractive guys singing about beautiful girls came up with the idea of producer Evgeny Fridlyand. Initially, his desire was to create a group that could rightfully be called a “mix” of the foreign groups “Bextrit Boys” and “Boyzon”.
The Prime Minister group (old staff) was created in an unusual way. The band’s leadership did not choose the band’s participants, as is usually the case, at castings and vocal competitions.
How were participants selected for the team?
The first person Friedland heard was Jean Grigoriev-Milimerov. A talented performer at that time worked in one of the Moscow restaurants, at the table of which, by chance, the producer turned out to be. Having performed the song by Stevie Wonder, Jean still attracted the attention of Friedland.
And after some time, Konstantin Arsenyev, a friend and poet of the band’s organizer, brought him three unlike, but talented and with some experience musical parties of young people.
Composition of the group
Subsequently, they were united by the "Prime Minister". The group (the old line-up included only three performers) was represented by several participants.
Jean Grigoriev-Milimerov
Jean's colorful gypsy appearance at that time was his significant advantage. A bright black-eyed dark-skinned dark-skinned guy of high growth initially stood out from the collective. Coming from a family of artists, he has been playing music since childhood, learning to play the violin. As already mentioned, the Prime Minister group (old staff) was his first opportunity to make himself known in show business.
Pete jason
From childhood, parents supported the musical hobbies of children in all endeavors. Pete has an older brother, who, according to him, had a huge impact on the younger's musical career.
Having completed a serious vocal school at the Moscow Choir, the future participant was ready to join the ranks of the collective. The Prime Minister group (the old line-up, the photo of which is presented here, was remembered by many hits, where the solo lines, as a rule, went to Jason) was his first serious step in show business, and Pete cultivated his vocal data on the works of Bach and Mozart.
Dmitry Lanskoy and Marat Chanyshev
Dmitry Lanskoy - a member of the quartet from its inception in 1998 to 2001. I managed to record 2 albums with the group, which is what the fans remembered.
Marat Chanyshev became a successful replacement for the departed Lansky from the Prime Minister collective. The group (the old line-up, whose songs are still beloved by the people, shot the video “Such-spreading” - the author of the hit is Chanyshev) significantly changed with the arrival of this young artist.
Vyacheslav Bodolika
He joined the group already during the recording of the hits “Atomic Feeling of Love”, “Dirty Dancing”. A comprehensively developed young man, originally from Moldova, was engaged in dancing and studied at a music school. Planning to continue his career as a performer, he entered the Chisinau Conservatory. From the third year he was in the boy band.
Why the "Prime Minister"?
By the way, the group “Prime Minister”, whose old composition still has many fans, got its name as a result of the political crisis of the late 90's. The participants learned about the name of the quartet when they saw the first disc with their hits on sale.
