From ancient times to the end of the Middle Ages, bows were the main throwing weapon. And in the Late Middle Ages, firearms began to supplant them. Nowadays, bows are used in sports and hunting. Externally, this weapon is an arc over which the bowstring is pulled, and this article discusses how to draw it in several ways.
How to draw a bow and arrow
Drawing famous weapons is easy enough. To do this, you only need a blank sheet of paper and a pencil. Here's how to draw a bow and arrow with a pencil in stages:
- First, draw the onion body. Draw a curve that bends upward at the end. It should look like a doorknob. Then add two rounded rectangles from each end of the arched middle of this arc. This way you get the onion hilt.
- Draw a straight line from one edge of the case to the other. At a short distance from the bow, add a very thin and long rectangle - the base of the arrow.
- Draw the feathers of an arrow in the form of six inclined quadrangles. They should all be centered on one end, three on each side.
- At the other end of the arrow, draw a pointed triangle.
- Color your drawing. Any color you like is suitable for onions. The handle can be highlighted in a different color, and the arrowhead should look like metal, so use silver or gray.
The second way to draw a bow and arrow
To draw the bow and arrow with another method, draw a slightly tilted horizontal line with a pencil. Then add two more vertical lines that intersect with the horizontal at right angles and are closer to the right edge.
At the junction of the horizontal and extreme right vertical lines, we make a sketch of the onion hilt. From the handle we draw curved lines up and down to the second vertical strip to depict the arms shoulders.
Draw two slanted lines from the top and bottom of the bow to the horizontal strip.
At the right end of the horizontal line, draw the arrowhead, and from the left edge add the plumage to it.
Erase the auxiliary lines and draw some details.

Draw a seven-corner shape as shown in the picture. Then draw a line through this shape. Draw an arrow on it.
Next to the arrow, draw a curved shape, as you see in the picture. Add the same bow of the bow below.
In the place of the bowstring, draw two figures that look like thin rectangles. After that add the necessary details and erase the excess lines.
