Usually, a person’s skin tone is determined by his genetics, and therefore pallor of the skin does not always indicate a disease or malaise. This may be a feature of the body (when blood vessels do not shine due to the density of the skin, therefore it appears especially pale), the result of insufficient exposure to fresh air or low ambient temperature, physical or psychological stress.
Moreover, for many centuries, pale skin was considered not just beautiful. It was an inalienable attribute of a person from high society, quite rich, educated and prosperous.
The lower classes, on the contrary, could boast of tanning due to the fact that they were forced to survive due to exhausting labor in the air.
However, more often pallor of the skin can be one of the signs of malaise, pathological changes in the body. At the same time, other symptoms join, for example, weakness, excessive sweating, discoloration of the nails and lips, blanching of the mucous membranes.
There may be several reasons for such changes. As a rule, objective factors are associated with natural processes for an aging body, but subjective factors vary depending on diseases, genetics and lifestyle of each individual. And then the treatment of skin diseases requires a special approach.
So, the most important cause of this phenomenon is age. Over the years, integuments lose moisture, the body produces less collagen, due to a decrease in the activity of the cardiovascular system, tissue nutrition worsens, and as a result, the skin becomes drier, more vulnerable, paler. This is an objective reason, it is difficult to do anything here.
But subjective reasons can be quite a lot. Pallor of the skin can cause, firstly, a lifestyle, that is, poor nutrition, lack of sleep and stress. All this leads to early aging. And if bad ecology also contributes, the consequences come even faster. Secondly, a pale shade of the integument can be caused by anemia, that is, a lack of iron in the blood, or vegetovascular dystonia, which always goes hand in hand with low pressure and its frequent drops, headache, heart rhythm disturbance, dizziness and other unpleasant symptoms. Too light skin tone, closer to yellowish, is also caused by diseases of the organs of the excretory system, for example, kidneys, or malaise.
Thirdly, unusual pallor can be the result of such a terrible disease as leukemia, and is one of its first symptoms. In this case, pallor of the skin is accompanied by slight bruising, wounds on the mucous membrane, weakness, lethargy and drowsiness. Temperature may rise. All this is by no means harmless. The main thing is not to miss the symptoms, seek help from a doctor.
Thus, skin color can be determined by various factors, both harmless and pathogenic. If pallor is accompanied by relatively good health, does not cause anxiety and inconvenience, then there is no reason for alarm.
So, such pallor is simply a natural physiological state for this particular person.
But if it developed suddenly, and weakness, fatigue, a feeling of lack of air, and a rapid heartbeat are added to excessively light skin, then you need to immediately see a doctor. And then the treatment of skin diseases will be easier and will not be accompanied by any running processes.
