This motif was originally depicted on their household items, on clothes and in the interior of all the nations of the world. And the thing is that flowers are one of the most beautiful creations of nature, and at the same time to depict them with a brush or chalk is easy. Of course, floral ornaments of different nations are significantly different. Today we look at those that have survived to our days, and are popular in clothing, interior decoration and painting.

Initially, people painted patterns in the form of combinations of geometric shapes and straight lines. A similar technique was inherent in Ancient Egypt, the peoples of Mesopotamia, the Far Eastern states. That is why the first floral ornaments that appeared later had strict outlines, as they consisted of geometric shapes. A similar trend manifested itself in ancient Russian patterns, which are still used in the visual arts. Petals of flowers, their leaves and stems are completely composed of rhombuses, parallelograms, squares and triangles. Most often, such drawings are made in red and blue colors, and decorate them with clothes, picture frames, dishes.

Later floral ornaments, so popular in our country - Khokhloma and Gzhel. By right, this kind of art is more like whole pictures, rather than modest patterns. Khokhloma is an image of bright colors made in red, yellow and orange. As for the gzhel, it is based on exquisite plants made in blue, blue, turquoise. It is believed that this is a tribute to the blue sky, clean rivers and field plants.

From ancient times to the present day, a pattern called "Turkish / Oriental Cucumber" was popular. In clothes, interior, painting - everywhere there is this floral ornament. Pictures of elongated fruits of cucumbers that grow in the eastern regions are today one of the trends. Sundresses, shawls and even costumes are sewn from such fabrics. Caucasian motifs, which are called β€œgul”, which in translation into Russian means β€œflower”, are distinguished by unearthly beauty. They are made in strict, saturated shades (green, red, blue), and the flowers themselves have sophisticated and at the same time strict features. No less beautiful were Chinese folk motifs. It will be fair to say that such patterns are an ode to iris bushes: the Chinese fully depicted flowering, leaves, and all the wealth of this plant.
