According to many Star Wars fans, Assage Ventress is a character with a very conflicting story. Even as a child, given to the training of the great Jedi, she became the strongest bounty hunter. A difficult fate forced her to go to the dark side of power and avenge her offenders. Appearing in many episodes of the animated series and on the pages of comics, she became a long-awaited character for fans of Star Wars.
Small witch
Born in Datomir in the clan of night sisters, Asajj was separated from her mother. She was given to the bounty hunter. Soon, pirates killed him, and a little girl was noticed by a Jedi who arrived to defend the city. He noted that Ventress used "power", pushing the attacking robber.
For many years Assage Ventress was brought up by the great master. During this time, she learned to control her power and wield a lightsaber. She practiced with her mentor, entering into fights and protecting the innocent.
Dark side
When in the next battle the master was shot in the back by a vile pirate, Asajj dealt in anger with the robber. This was the reason for her transition to the dark side. Ventress noticed that the thirst for revenge gives strength. Subsequently, a Jedi apprentice learns to master two swords and becomes a bounty hunter. Asajj is now led by greedy motives and ever-growing malice.
In these difficult times, Ventress meets a new teacher - the sieve of Count Dooku. A former graduate of Master Yoda flaunts her, claiming that the girl from childhood was a Sith student.
Meeting with Dooku
After the death of his Jedi teacher Narek, Assage Ventress preys on warlords. Asajj built a huge castle on the conquered lands, from where she led the management of her affairs. Having met Dooku, she called herself a sieve. However, the former Jedi easily determined that her behavior was only an imitation of the manifestation of the power of darkness. After a fleeting battle with Asaj, he takes her to his teacher Darth Sidious.
Assage Ventress considered the offer to destroy the Jedi an honor, since most of them renounced Kai Narek. One of the most difficult tasks Assage gave was the destruction of Anakin Skywalker. So Sidious decided to test the strength of the young Jedi. In this battle, Ventress lost by falling from the roof of the Massassi Temple. From that moment, she decided to become a student of Dooku. To prove her allegiance, she abducts Obi Wan Kenobi and imprisoned in her castle.
However, the Jedi uses force and escapes, taking with him the sword of Kai Narek, preserved by Asajj. Having learned the true story of the fate of Ventress, Obi Wan thinks about attracting her to the bright side.
Betrayal
Sidious, fearing the growing power of the witch, orders Dooku to destroy his student. However, Assage Ventress survived after shelling her ship and went to Datomir to her family, the Sisters of the Night. In collusion with the clan sisters, she prepared a revenge plan for the dark lord.
Asajj planned an attack on Dooku. Together with Karis and Nalet she sneaked into his ship, poisoned and weakened the former teacher. However, the dark lord managed to defeat invisible opponents. In search of a replacement for Ventress, he turns to Mother Talzin, the leader of the Datomir witches. She offers Dook one of the brothers of the night - Savage Opressa.
Thus, an attack on the Sith Lord was planned. In memory of the Opress, the task was sealed - to kill Dooku. Asajj, without losing time, entered his ship and awakened a mission sealed in Savageβs mind. However, the sieve struck Savage's vanity, and he attacked both at once. Another attempt to kill the dark lord failed.
For Asajj Ventress, star wars were only an excuse for revenge on those who had betrayed her.
Mercenary Life
Becoming a full-fledged sister of the night, Ventress refused revenge on Dooku. However, the lord was not slow in answering and invaded Datomir, destroying almost the entire clan of the Sisters of the night. After many years of wandering, Asajj for unknown reasons returns to the service of Dooku. She was made a cyborg, even more faithful and merciless. At the battle of Bo-Pete, Asajj lost a lot of strength and was betrayed to Dook for the second time. He considered the witch a useless loser and ordered her to be killed.
Asajj was found wounded and exhausted by Obi Wan. Even lying down, she tried to kill him. After an unsuccessful attempt to bring Ventress back to the light, Anakin hit her with a sword. Before dying, the witch warned that Coruscant needed to be defended - this was the key to victory in the war with the Confederation.
Kenobi took Asaj to his ship to bury with honors. When she was safe, the witch used the Cheating of Reason and forced the pilots to fly away from the annoying war, the Jedi and the Sith.
Contradictions in the sources
Attentive fans note that Assage Ventress entered the Star Wars as a character with a conflicting fate. Many sources interpret certain events in Asajj's life in different ways. For example, in the animated series βThe Clone Wars,β Ventress, as a first assignment, is instructed to kill Anakin. However, in the Jedi: Mace Windu comic, she, under the leadership of Dooku, tries to destroy a group of Jedi on Ruul.
There is an assumption that after the death of Narek, Asajj began to fight with two swords - hers and Kaya. Dooku, when meeting with a witch, destroys both weapons. In the comic strip Republic: Hatred and Fear, Obi Wan steals Narekβs sword unscathed.
Contrary to the storyline of Yoda: A Date with Darkness, the animated series The Clone Wars narrates that Asajj became the Sister of the Night long before the war ended. Prior to the release of the series, it was believed that Ventress belonged to the ratatak race. However, in the series, she appears as a Datomir witch.
Assage Ventress: Swords
Asajj received her first sword as a child - from a bounty hunter. She used it until the death of her mentor Kai Narek. Then she acquired the double swords that served her until she met Dooku. By destroying her old weapon, the dark lord gives Ventress the connecting lightsabers that could be used as a two-sided staff. They could also be fastened with a cable, which increased the effectiveness of the battle.
The new lightsaber Asajj Ventress appeared after Padawan Barris Offy stole a gift to Dook. She used it until the end of her career as a bounty hunter. The weapon was purchased on the black market and had a standard cylindrical shape. The plasma blade emitted a yellowish light.
Asajj can be described as the most independent character in Star Wars. Turning to various masters for help, she was able to combine many positive and negative traits. Constantly in the center of events, Asajj met with great warriors, learned to fight her fears and gained unprecedented strength.
