Zlaty Bazant is translated from Slovak as "Golden Pheasant". This is the name of a popular beer brand owned by the famous producer of beer and other drinks - Heineken Corporation. The company claims that the main thing in its work is fidelity to old Slovak traditions and strict quality control of products. Beer "Golden Bazant" is sold not only in Slovakia, but also exported abroad.
History reference
The history of this beer brand began in 1969, when a new brewery was opened in Gurbanovo. Its products quickly spread to the bars of then Czechoslovakia, and also went abroad. Only in the first decade of the breweryβs activities, Golden Bazant foam beer was so loved by consumers that the manufacturer was able to export to 12 countries of the world.
The year 1971 was marked by some technological introductions. The first state line for bottling beer in cans was launched. Since 1995, the brewery has received a new round of development: the company was bought by the Dutch corporation Heineken and immediately invested huge material resources in the modernization and updating of production. Great attention was paid to marketing. This significantly strengthened the position of the Zlaty Bazant brand in the global market.
The result of such a stormy activity was not long in coming. The modernization was followed by a significant increase in beer sales. In the domestic market, it has doubled. In total, the brewery consumes 140 tons per year in the production of its product, only malt.

This beer owes its name to the unique nature of the surroundings of the city of Gurbanov, in which the first brewery is located. The weather in those parts is considered the best in the country, there are never cold weather with temperatures below four with minus degrees. Such conditions turned out to be ideal not only for brewing, but also for golden pheasants. These birds have long been chosen by the meadows and forests around Gurbanov. And it was in honor of them that the name was invented for a new beer in the early sixties. The beautiful nature, by the way, explains the high quality of the raw materials produced in those parts. The quality of the water is also important - even amateurs know that it is impossible to produce soft and tasty beer from bad water. But in those parts the water is good. As well as other necessary components: wheat, malt, hops.
