Pharmacological properties
Dexketoprofen trometamol (the active substance of this drug) is a salt of propionic acid. It is characterized by analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory properties. Belongs to the class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or NSAIDs.
The mechanism of work is aimed at reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins as a result of inhibition of cyclooxygenase. That is, the conversion of arachidonic acid to cyclic endoperoxides PGG2 and PGH2 slows down. Of these, in turn, prostaglandins PGEi, PGE2, PGF2a, PGD2 are formed, including a substance such as prostacyclin PGI2, as well as thromboxanes TxAg and TxBr. Suppression of prostaglandin synthesis has an effect on the impulses of the inflammatory process, for example, on kinins, which affect the basic functions of the drug. The inhibitory effect of dexketoprofen on the activity of cyclooxygenase-1, cyclooxygenase-2 was revealed.
Clinical trials have established the analgesic effect of the drug with varying degrees of pain. Its analgesic properties were discovered by injecting the solution inside. An analysis of the intense effect on pain during the postoperative period was performed. These are orthopedic and gynecological surgical procedures, as well as operations on the abdominal cavity. Used with varying degrees of pain in the spine, the drug "Caver". Instructions for the use of injections are recommended for renal colic.
Studies have shown that a medical product acts instantly, and its maximum effectiveness is manifested for forty-five minutes. The analgesic effect on the body lasts about eight hours, but only on condition that at least 50 mg of Keiver (injections) have been administered. Description, indications for the drug - all this is very important to study before using it.
With intramuscular injection of dexketoprofen trometamol, the highest concentration is observed after twenty minutes. Has a high degree of connection of plasma proteins - 99%. Distribution of dexketoprofen varies in the region of 0.25 l / kg. The half-life is 0.35 hours. It is removed after 1-2.7 hours.
