After the marshmallows swell under the influence of high temperature, begin to add powdered sugar, gradually stirring. If you need multi-colored mastic at home (photos show how different it can be in color), then add dye immediately, dividing the mass into parts.

After stirring, look at the consistency. The mass should look like plasticine. If such a consistency has not yet been achieved, continue to add powdered sugar one tablespoon each. You will see when it will be necessary to stop.

If the mastic is ready at home, how to roll it into a thin uniform layer? Many people think that this time-consuming operation is available only to experienced confectioners. This is not true. It is better to take polyethylene thicker, it will not form wrinkles. These ingredients should be taken in a ratio of 1: 1.

Soak 10 g of gelatin in water to swell. After that, it should be heated in a water bath so that it dissolves, mixed with two tablespoons of margarine and the same amount of honey. Now your task is to add half a kilogram of powdered sugar to this mixture. This should be done gradually by interfering with a spatula or spatula. Knead the thickened mass, laying on the table, like dough. Honey mastic is a type of sugar. But when working with it, certain rules should be followed. In no case should it be soft - this will make working with it impossible. She will be constantly torn. Therefore, by adding powdered sugar, make the consistency of honey mastic steeper. Please note that a cake coating made of this material does not tolerate moisture. Therefore, use recipes that allow you to bake a dry biscuit, and keep the finished cake in an airtight package.
