The independent Moscow Theater was born not so long ago, but the public has already managed to recognize and love it. This is a fairly successful project, as viewers are always looking forward to each new premiere.
About the theater
The creator of the theater Dmitry Rachkovsky reveals a secret about why his brainchild is so popular. According to him, the reason is that his troupe does not need theater awards, does not aim to win festivals, and also does not attach importance to what theater critics think about their productions. Actors work for the audience and get the appropriate return from them.
The first performance, which was presented to the public by the Independent Moscow Theater on November 15, 2003, was a production based on the novel by M. Bulgakov “The Master and Margarita”. The role of Woland was then played by Victor Avilov, known for his many films. In the role of Margarita, Olga Cabo shone. The performance is still included in the repertoire of the theater and has been shown in different countries for more than 700 times, it is very popular with the audience. In total, the troupe's arsenal has more than twenty different productions. The performances of the Moscow Independent Theater are distinguished by magnificent costumes, wonderful music, incendiary dances and non-standard drama.
Troupe
The independent Moscow Theater can rightly be called international, since it is attended not only by Russian artists, but also from former Soviet republics, for example, People's Artist of Latvia Ivars Kalnins, popular artist of Estonia Mikael Molchanus, Honored Artist of Ukraine Vladimir Goryansky, People's Artist of Ukraine Olga Sumskaya, Ruslana Pysanka. All of them are not just invited, but are part of the troupe.
More than forty artists, five of them have the title of Honored Artist of Russia and three - the People’s, make up the Moscow Independent Theater. Casanova
The performance of "Casanova" Moscow Independent Theater shows since 2006 with constant success. The main role is played by Sergey Glushko - the legendary Tarzan. This is a comedy about the adventures of the famous and the best lover in the world - Casanova. He did not miss a single beauty, and women dreamed of intimacy with him. But once he truly fell in love with the beautiful Francesca, who was the famous seductress in Venice. The woman was unable to resist the seducer. But can Casanova give up his usual way of life for the sake of love and from the crowds of beauties longing for him?
"Grooms"
The performance "Grooms" the Moscow Independent Theater recently included in its repertoire - in January 2014. This is a comedy based on the play by N.V. Gogol. In the center of the plot, Agafya Tikhonovna is a merchant marriageable daughter who sits at home all day, gets bored and indulges in dreams of her future wife. The aunt tries to persuade the choice of a niece to a cloth merchant, but the girl is stubborn and finds a large number of arguments against this candidacy: he is just a merchant and also bearded, and she would like her husband to be a nobleman. The matchmaker Fekla Ivanovna is looking for a worthy groom for Agafia Tikhonovna, and thanks to her efforts, a seasoned sailor, court counselor, infantry officer and executor come to the bride to marry. One of them is looking for a rich dowry in the bride, the other needs her to certainly know the French language ... All four potential suitors gather in Agafia’s house to look at her and show herself. The girl can not make a choice, which of the matchmakers to prefer ...
"Viy"
The performance "Wii" Moscow Independent Theater has been playing for 10 years - since January 2005. The director himself defines the genre of this action as a shocking comedy, since, like here, this play has not been staged anywhere else. The terrible story that tells about the death of a beautiful girl, Pannochka, in this version turned into a funny comedy, which is filled with incendiary dances, jokes and texts, the authors of which are famous comedians. In the production of the Moscow Independent Theater, no one dies, but it is ridiculous that even the best KVN fades.
Spectators are very fond of this performance, and after watching it, their mood rises for a whole year ahead. The audience begins to laugh at the very beginning of the production and laughs for at least another three days after its completion. Although it can be scary at times, it’s still “Viy”. This is one of the best performances of the Independent Theater. But for those who crave to see the classic version of the play and do not accept any innovations, this version is not recommended for viewing. This is not the “Wii” that everyone is used to. This is an entertaining entertaining show that will leave a lot of impressions for a lifetime and thanks to which everyone laughs to the bottom.
