In what form is the drug "Nadroparin Calcium" made? The release form of this medication is presented in this article. It also contains information about the features of the said remedy, its indications and side effects.
Form, composition
"Nadroparin Calcium" - a solution intended for administration under the skin. The drug in question is a clear, light yellow or colorless, slightly opalescent drug liquid. Its active component is the substance of the same name - calcium nadroparin. The composition of this medication also includes the following additional ingredients: water d / and, a solution of calcium hydroxide or hydrochloric acid (diluted).
Nadroparin Calcium goes on sale in single-dose syringes, which are packed in blisters and paper packs.
Drug properties
"Nadroparin Calcium" is an antithrombotic and anticoagulant agent. According to the instructions, this drug is a low molecular weight heparin that was produced from standard heparin by depolymerization. It has a high affinity for blood protein antithrombin 3 and well suppresses factor Xa.
It cannot be said that the drug in question changes the rheological parameters of the blood, that is, reduces its viscosity, increases the permeability of the membranes of granulocyte and platelet cells, and also prevents the development of such a pathological process as vascular blockage.
Compared to unfractionated heparin, this solution has a weaker effect on platelet activity, primary hemostasis, and aggregation.
Kinetics means
What kinetic ability does the drug Nadroparin Calcium have? After subcutaneous administration, the highest anti-Xa activity of this agent is observed after 5 hours. At the same time, its half-life is 2 hours. This medication is metabolized in the liver through depolymerization and desulfation.
Prescription of a medicinal product
Vein blockage can occur for a variety of reasons. To prevent the development of such a pathological and rather dangerous process, many doctors prescribe the drug "Fraxiparin" to their patients, the active component of which is calcium nadroparin. Thus, the said tool is indicated for use:
- in the treatment of thromboembolism;
- for the prevention of thromboembolic complications (for example, during orthopedic and surgical interventions, in people with a high risk of thrombosis, including with (acute) cardiac or respiratory failure);
- in the treatment of myocardial infarction and unstable angina;
- for the prevention of blood coagulation
Prohibitions for appointment
Blockage of blood vessels is a rather dangerous phenomenon. However, even with this condition, the drug "Fraxiparin" is not always prescribed to patients. According to experts, this medicine has the following contraindications:
- intracranial hemorrhage;
- thrombocytopenia when using nadroparin;
- organic lesions of internal organs with a tendency to bleeding;
- symptoms or a high risk of bleeding that is associated with impaired hemostasis;
- surgical interventions and injuries of the brain, spinal cord, and also of the visual organs;
- acute septic endocarditis;
- minor age;
- severe renal failure;
- high sensitivity to nadroparin.
Cautious use
With caution, the drug "Fraxiparin" is prescribed only in cases associated with a high risk of bleeding, including with:
- renal failure;
- severe arterial hypertension;
- in the postoperative period;
- liver failure;
- in people weighing less than 40 kg;
- peptic ulcers;
- circulatory disorders in the retina or choroid;
- in combination with medications that increase the risk of bleeding.
The drug "Nadroparin Calcium": instructions for use
According to the instructions, the drug in question should be administered subcutaneously in the abdomen (alternately in the left and right side). In this case, the patient should be in a supine position. Hip injection is also allowed.
The dosage of this drug is selected only by a doctor, depending on the available indications. For example, in order to prevent thromboembolism in surgery, a dose of Fraxiparin equal to 0.3 ml is used. In this case, the drug is administered 4 hours before the planned operation, and subsequently - once a day.
The duration of treatment with this drug also depends on the existing disease (usually 6 days).
Side effects
The use of the drug in question can cause a number of negative effects, in particular:
- bleeding of various localization;
- an increase in the content of liver enzymes;
- thrombocytopenia and eosinophilia;
- hypersensitivity reactions;
- local reactions such as the appearance of a subcutaneous hematoma at the injection site, the formation of hard bumps that disappear after a few days, necrosis of the skin in the area of โโadministration;
- hyperkalemia and priapism.
Reviews
Vein blockage can occur in any person. Therefore, people with impaired blood circulation are often prescribed the drug "Fraxiparin" or the so-called "Nadroparin Calcium". Patients claim that this tool copes well with its direct task. However, it should be noted that this medication often causes the development of negative reactions. In this case, experts recommend replacing it with a safer medicine.
