What can you make a gingerbread house from? The name itself says that the main role here is gingerbread. That's what we are going to do now.
Essential ingredients and steps for making dough
For the test we need: 180 gr. honey, 150 gr. brown sugar, 100 gr. butter, 450 gr. sifted wheat flour, 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon karmadona, 1 teaspoon ground ginger, 1 egg, 100 gr. sour cream.
Put sugar and honey in a dipper or pan and heat over low heat. Add the butter. Mix, achieving a homogeneous mass. Pour flour, spices, egg, sour cream into a bowl and pour the mixture from honey and oil. We knead all this, cover with foil and send it to the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Pattern
You must first draw a gingerbread house on paper. The pattern should consist of two rectangles - these are walls. We cut out the windows in them. Two rectangles will also be required (1 cm more than the previous ones) - the roof. A complex figure - a square and a triangle connected together - the other two walls. Such details must be done in two pieces. In one we cut out the door, in the other, if desired, a window. And four small parts on the pipe. From paper patterns you have to fold a house, check the correctness of the details.
The process of creating a house
We roll out an even layer about 0.5 cm thick and proceed to cutting parts using paper templates. Do not forget about the largest part - the stand, which can be of arbitrary shape, but large enough to fit a house there. Finished dough pieces are gently transferred to a baking sheet covered with paper. Bake in the oven at a temperature of 200 degrees for only 15 minutes. After cooling, you should collect a gingerbread house and decorate to your taste.
How to glue a house
To glue the house, you need to prepare a mixture of 3 egg whites and 120 gr. powdered sugar. Beat the whites in the foam and gradually pour the powder, continuing to whisk. The result should be a thick mass. To prevent whipped proteins with powder from drying out during work, cover them and put in the refrigerator. First you need to connect the walls and the base (the floors of the house - stand). Lubricate and collect all four walls, leave to dry. If you wish, you can use it for durable fastening of a toothpick.
House decoration
The last stage is the most enjoyable: collecting and decorating the house. Connect your children to this activity. For decoration, various confectionery powders, multi-colored caramel, colored marmalade are used. A fence, for example, can be built from all kinds of ready-made cookies and crackers. The door is made of chocolate. Decorate the gingerbread house with coconut shavings or powdered sugar on top - it will simulate snow. You can have fun with your kids.
