The American comedy television series "Married and With Children", whose actors were repeatedly nominated for the prestigious Emmy Award, was released from 1987 to 1997. Thanks to overwhelming success, many countries filmed remakes on a sitcom. In Russia, the series was also adapted and was released under the title “Happy Together”.
Plot
The situational comedy tells about the hard life of an ordinary guy Al Bundy (Ed O'Nill), who lives in Chicago with his family. He is a seller of women's shoes, completely dissatisfied with his life and work. Married to Peggy (Katie Sagal) is not the first year, but can this marriage be called happy? His beloved does not cook for him, does not clean, does not work, but only does that he watches TV all day. The couple has two children: a beautiful, but silly Kelly (Christina Applegate) and anxious Bud (David Faustino).
Each member of the family does not like each other. Continuous jokes and bullying are the norm for them. But, despite this, it is practically impossible to separate them, they still remain together. The main topics that the sitcom raises are the lack of cash and potency in the protagonist. The series also introduces viewers to the family’s interesting neighbors: feminist Marcy (Amanda Beers) and her husband.
Al Bundy
The head of the family, for a small fee working as a seller in a women's shoe store, was played by Ed O'Neill. Hero's standard clothing is a blue top and a gray bottom. He does not tolerate full women who come to him for shopping, the French, as well as his own spouse and all her relatives. She loves to drink beer and watch sports channels with one hand in her pants. Often recalls his past successes in football. Bad Bundy
The actor who played it is David Faustino. The youngest child, the smartest offspring of the family. Named by his father in honor of his favorite beer, Badweiser. Excellent student, after graduation he easily entered the university. The guy is obsessed with everything intimate, but, unfortunately, with the opposite sex, he never succeeds. That is why he is hiding an inflatable doll. The rest often tease him because of failures in his personal life. The guy has no friends and good work.
Kelly Bundy
In the series "Married and with Children" the actors are selected to fame. Take even the oldest child of the family, the daughter of Peggy and Al, whose role was played by Christina Applegate. He does not have a sharp mind, he goes to school only to meet with comrades. Periodically confused in words, which is the highlight of the series. Indiscriminate in communications: Kelly has many guys, and sometimes even several at a time. Having miraculously graduated from school, he tries to work as a model, and sometimes works as a waitress. I wanted to learn acting. Throughout the series he lives with his parents and does not want to change anything in his life.
Marcy Roads

The first husband of a neighbor of the Marcy family, played by David Harrison. It is at a crossroads between the positive influence of Marcy and the negative influence of Al. He has a job at a bank, but eventually quits, divorces his wife and goes to protect the wildlife. After Steve disappeared from the series, he appears several more times. Then the viewer learns that Marcy still has feelings for him.
Jefferson D'Arcy
Second missus neighbor. The role is performed by Ted McGinley. The guys marry by chance, but in the end, Marcy decides not to break the marriage. Jefferson is an Alphonse who only knows how to stay at home and spend the money of his newly made wife. Appearance for a guy is the main thing, sometimes he looks like a woman. The Parent Television Council public organization defined the series as the worst family show, all thanks to “rude jokes and toilet humor”. Nevertheless, in the series “Married and with Children”, the actors completely managed their roles. Until now, the sitcom remains the favorite series of many Americans.
