In the film “Officers”, the actors tell the viewer the story of several generations of the Trofimov family, who have dedicated their lives to serving the motherland. Officers from the Trofimov clan fought in all the wars that only happened on the territory of the Soviet Union, starting in the 1920s. and ending with the 60s of the XX century. The fate of the protagonists is sometimes tragic, but each of them knew why they were making sacrifices. Who starred in this picture and why did it so affect the hearts of the audience?

Filmmakers. Short story

Initially, the film was supposed to be dedicated to the fate of officer wives. But the screenwriter Cyril Rapoport in the process of work managed to create something more: a script of an epic picture that tells about the life of the Soviet military in general and in general. True, this story was too believable: for example, the main characters had to go through the Stalinist camps and were released only before the Great Patriotic War. But the artistic council demanded that these scenes be removed from the script and many others. Rapoport refused to do this, then Boris Vasiliev was assigned to rewrite the script.

In the film "Officers", the actors were also selected in an atmosphere of heated debate and debate. The Art Council demanded that George Yumatov be entrusted with the main role, and the director Vladimir Rogovoy was against it, since the artist did not hide his addiction to alcohol.

Nevertheless, the film “Officers” turned out to be sincere - the actors and roles deeply sunk into the audience. And there are objective reasons for that.

The picture “Officers” turned out to be so realistic and touching, because many of the crew, including the actors themselves, went through the Great Patriotic War and knew about the war firsthand. For example, Boris Vasiliev, who was instructed to finalize the script for the film, served in the fighter battalion, director Vladimir Rogovoi served in the 18th Infantry Division.

In the film "Officers" the actors Georgy Yumatov and Evgeny Vesnik, like no one else, knew how to play the role of the military, because they too were participants in the hostilities in 1941-1945. George Yumatov even has a scar from a wound on his back, which, incidentally, did not fail to demonstrate in the film.

Georgy Yumatov played in the “Officers” one of the main roles - Alexei Trofimov, who during the Civil War began as a simple Red Army soldier, then went through the Russian-Chinese, Spanish and World War II. No matter what difficulties Trofimov faced, he did not leave the service and continued to remain faithful to his profession.

Actress Alina Pokrovskaya in the film played the role of the wife of Alexei Trofimov - Lyuba. Lyubov Andreevna follows her husband everywhere and is not afraid of difficulties: she huddles with him in barracks on the Central Asian front, gives birth to her husband’s husband in marching conditions, and then supports him in every possible way. Thanks to the endurance of Love, their marriage is preserved until a very old age, despite the death of his son and many wars.

Actress Alina Pokrovskaya met the war with a little girl and was not a participant in the hostilities. But she did a good job of the role of officer wife Lyubov Andreevna. After the “Officers”, the actress rarely starred: in her filmography, only 12 paintings.

In the picture "Officers" the actors were selected very famous. So Vasily Lanovoi - the performer of the role of Barabbas - was already a star of Soviet cinema on the set of the film. Lanovoy’s character in “Officers” is a close friend of the main character - Alexei Trofimov. They first get to know each other when they are serving on the Central Asian front in the 1920s. Then their fates periodically diverge and reconnect. But separation does not weaken their friendship, but, on the contrary, time only makes it stronger. Having gone through all the wars, Barabbas and Trofimov are already met by the elderly in the 60s. Barabbas learns that Trofimov’s grandson is named in his honor by Ivan.

Lyuba and Alexei Trofimov back in the 1920s. a boy is born, whom they call Yegor in honor of the deceased commander of their detachment.

Egor spends his childhood in the city, attends a regular school. As a teenager, he falls in love with a neighbor - Masha Belkin. Young people want to get married, but the Second World War begins. Egor leaves for the front, not even suspecting that his bride is pregnant. He serves in the tank troops. At the height of the war, the son of Trofimov dies.

The role of Yegor was performed by two actors at once. Andrei Anisimov played the son of Trofimov in childhood. This was his only role in the movie.

Adult Egor was played by Alexander Voevodin. It was a film debut for a graduate of the Moscow Art Theater School.

In the film “Officers”, the actors and roles make a lasting impression on the viewer when watching. Cheerful Yegor as a character causes sympathy, because the young man had to die early. But the end of the film can still be considered positive, because the elderly couple Trofimov left his son Ivan.

In the film "Officers", the actors must have sought to get: a good script, a star cast. For actress Natalia Rychagova, this was not the first film role, but one of the best.

Rychagova first appeared on the screens as a child in the role of Nyura Sinitsina in the film "Vasek Trubachev and his comrades." Then the little actress starred in the sequel to the film "Trobachev’s squad is fighting."

At 26, the actress got on the set of "Officers", while playing the role of Masha Belkina not only as an adult, but also as a teenager. In the story, Masha is friends with Trofimov’s son, Yegor. The Trofimov family treats the girl well. Having become older, Yegor and Masha are going to get married, but the war begins. In 1943, Masha gives birth to a son from Yegor. Because of the infant, she is not allowed to the front. Then the girl leaves the baby to his grandmother - Lyubov Trofimova, and she goes to war and soon dies.

Incredibly charming appears to the audience the character of Vanya Trofimov - the grandson of Lyubov and Alexei.

Grandparents named their grandson Ivan in honor of a long-time friend Ivan Varavva and sent them to study at Suvorov School from an early age. The guy grows extremely savvy. Once (in the story), grandparents are going to argue with each other, so Lyubov Andreevna sends her grandson to the kiosk for a military newspaper, to which the boy replies: "The Military Bulletin is not for sale in the kiosks. Swear, I’ll leave." In the final of the film, shots are shown, from which it becomes clear that Ivan continued the Trofimov military dynasty and also became a career officer.

The film "Officers", whose actors were loved by the viewer, was popular not only in the Soviet Union, but also received the main prize at the Czechoslovak Film Festival.

In addition to Yumatov and Lanovoy, the roles of the military in the film were played by Vladimir Druzhnikov (“Vertical Racing”), Evgeny Vesnik (“Ugryum River”), Stanislav Simonov (“Adjutant of His Excellency”), Vladimir Zlatoustovsky (“Leap at Dawn”) and Boris Gitin (“Married Bachelor”).
