The interest of children - and the adult population - in outer space (uncharted planets, unprecedented inhabitants and civilizations, flights to distant worlds) has always been βgoing wildβ. Was it connected with propaganda of the cosmonautics itself or was it simply explained by a romantic mood? Surely hard to say.
Remember the question from childhood: "What do you want to become?"
So, a good half of the children in the USSR frankly admitted: an astronaut! It seemed to us that this particular profession is associated with adventure, risk, good physical training and other qualities that determine the character. And who did not want to become one in childhood? And the question of how to draw a rocket and an astronaut, in general, was one of the main for the young artist. Today we will try to do it. We need a sheet of paper for drawing, simple pencils or drawing coals, an eraser. Subsequently, in order to make an image in color, you will need paints (gouache or watercolor), but you can also use felt-tip pens!
First on how to draw a space rocket
This is a flying vehicle, has long been used for flights. And, of course, not a single space trip can do without it.
Step 1. Place the A4 sheet of paper vertically (book version). Let's sketch the space object with a pencil - a simple, medium softness. The missile body itself is a geometric figure (or rather, their combination). It is rather a cylinder pointed upward. We draw and adjust using the eraser. If the lines of your drawing turned out to be not entirely accurate, do not be discouraged. Better correct with light strokes, giving them the desired direction.
Step 2. At the rocket below, draw a sketch of the tail-stabilizer. It is actually needed to balance the device in flight. These are also geometric shapes: a triangle and a quadrangle located on the sides. We smooth the corners of the parts and sharpen the tips.
Step 3. In the upper part of the object, we depict several small holes - portholes (again the geometry is circles). The rocket head is also pointed up.
Step 4. And now we erase all unnecessary lines with an eraser, apply shadows, draw details. The rocket is ready to fly! But this is only half of our drawing. Let's take a break and proceed to further work on the image.
Pilot
Now we will consider how to draw an astronaut with a pencil in stages. A pilot is the person who will control our rocket. You can draw it standing next to the aircraft. So, let's continue the lesson on how to draw a rocket and an astronaut. The pilot will be wearing a protective suit.
Step 1. To the right or left of the rocket we outline the figure of our astronaut: a large head (because in a helmet), rounded contours of the arms and legs dressed in a space suit. Diving suit belt and backpack. Sketch light strokes with lines.
Step 2. We begin to draw the details of the spacesuit (for this you need to first look at the image of the space suit). As well as mittens, all kinds of appliances, hoses (everything is large enough).
Step 3. An important part of our drawing is the helmet. We detail the eye opening, making it voluminous. Shade at the edges, remove excess lines.
Step 4. We continue the lesson on how to draw a rocket and an astronaut. Let's start depicting shoes. And also rivets, a backpack, etc. - all sorts of little things and accessories.
Fantasy flight
The most important thing now is to harmoniously combine both parts of the picture. That is, so that the astronaut does not exceed the growth of the rocket. So that the lines smoothly passed from one part to another. Don't be afraid to experiment with the eraser and the coals. Come up with the surroundings: not only how to draw a rocket and an astronaut, but also what surrounds them. If you want to portray a flying pilot, he must soar in zero gravity, surrounded by stars and planets against the background of the night cosmic sky. If on earth, then at the spaceport.
Colorize
And now our drawing can be painted with bright gouache, for example. Or multi-colored felt-tip pens - it will also be good! Good luck in your creative work!
