How to cook millet porridge on the water
Before you start cooking, rinse the cereal in water and rinse off the rest of the flour, so that at the end of work we do not get just a paste. If you like more viscous and sticky cereals, then you can bypass this procedure.
- Pour washed cereal into boiling and salted water and pour one tablespoon of vegetable oil. Stir occasionally. Cook millet porridge in the water for about twenty minutes. You will determine its readiness by thickening. When cooking, some foam and small elements will appear on the surface of the water. All this needs to be periodically cleaned.
- After making the porridge, cover the container with a lid and place it in the preheated oven for about half an hour. Such a process is needed to stew porridge. After it, it will become more crumbly and dry.
- While the porridge is languishing in the heat, we take onions and carrots, cut into small pieces and three on a grater. Fry in a pan until cooked. Just remember to add vegetable oil.
- We take the porridge out of the oven and pour over the already cooked aromatic roast. Mix everything thoroughly. If you want to give the dish a delicate flavor, you can add one tablespoon of butter. But you can do without such a procedure. That's all! Loose millet porridge on the water is cooked. You can use it as an independent dish, or you can season it with various goodies, such as meat sauce. Enjoy your meal!
