In 2013, a new Russian series was released, directed by Andrei Shcherbinin. He is sure that the new is the well-forgotten old. And when this script caught his eye, Shcherbinin was delighted because he was sustained in the classic detective genre. Story line. Main character
Colonel Khabarov is about to retire. For many years he was the head of the operational investigative group of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate. He managed to rise to a serious rank and gray hair. Now he decides to rest. But all his plans were destroyed due to one tragic event: in the courtyard of the house where he lives, a murder was committed. Killed a good friend of Khabarov and his deputy. The colonel has to postpone his departure: he was determined to find the criminal, who is suspected of being a professional killer.
From this moment, Khabarov takes over the investigation of the crime: he is convinced that only he will finish the matter. And all this concerns him personally, because they were friends with the murdered man for many years, understanding each other perfectly.

Story line. Meet the new employee
The higher leadership imposes on him a new assistant - Major Ershov. He is no longer a young boy, has some experience in investigating crimes. Ershov has a rather complicated character, because of which it is difficult for him to meet new colleagues. He is used to acting completely independently in his work, not devoting anyone to the results of his thoughts. He always counts only on his strength. Khabarov is not at all as simple as it might seem at first glance. During the time that he worked in the organs, he managed to hone his iron will and amazing hardness in solving a huge number of issues.

Dislike or nascent friendship?
Men very quickly realize that their cooperation will be rather difficult: they always argue, do not want to make concessions to each other. Ershov used to use such methods that Khabarov does not understand. Therefore, the colonel is outraged by what and how Ershov does, what decision he will make at the next moment, in what incomprehensible way he can put himself in some specific position.
Such events are described by the Khabarov Principle series. The actors and their roles in it are very diverse. The main characters of Khabarov and Ershov are played by well-known actors Alexander Marushev and Daniil Strakhov. Other roles were played by Serafima Nizovskaya, Lyudmila Kharitonova, Julia Rudina, Roman Gribkov.
Khabarov, as a man of the old school, cannot approve of the principles of the work of the new subordinate, and his self-will often infuriates the colonel.
But, no matter how strange it may seem, gradually these two completely dissimilar men begin to find a common language. Now they work in one team. Problems are solved much more successfully, and difficulties, it would seem, are beginning to bypass them.

Modern directors have always been sympathetic to TV series about honest and fair investigators. Unfortunately, in most cases, viewers watch strange fakes with a small budget and poor acting. But the actors of the “Khabarov Principle” proved that detective films can not only be interesting, but cause a feeling of empathy and even sympathy.
True, there are several moments in the tape when the action may seem a little protracted. But after all, a movie cannot be ideal, and the director’s vision may not coincide with the opinion of the audience. And yet, when viewing the picture, the action is so captivating that I really want to know what will happen next.
