Candice Knight is a famous American singer, poet, radio host, as well as the wife and inspirer of one of the most famous musicians in the rock genre - Richie Blackmore, under whose leadership Candice achieved incredible success in her musical career. She is also the co-founder of the Black Rock's Night folk rock project.
Biography
Candice Loren Izrailov was born May 8, 1971 in the city of Hoppog, New York State in the family of a doctor and teacher. Candice's parents were descendants of Jewish immigrants from the Russian Empire. In the family, the girl was not the only child and grew up with her younger brother Jeret and sister Susan.
Parents encouraged Candice's interest in music, and the girl learned to play the piano. From the age of 12, Candice decides to work in the modeling business, but soon realizes that her vocation is music, and after graduation she goes to New York Institute of Technology, where she studies the theory of sound recording, and also starts her own radio show.
It was then that Candice took herself the characteristic stage name “Knight,” which means “night” in English.
Blackmore's night
In 1989, Candice met with the former guitarist of the band Deep Purple - Richie Blackmore, with whom she began a romantic relationship.
Blackmore gradually gained the attention of Candice Knight, won her heart, and soon the press began to consider them an official couple, because Richie appeared everywhere with a young fan, paying her more attention both in her personal life and in her creative career.
At the suggestion of Blackmore, Candice begins to write lyrics for his band Rainbow, as well as singing vocals in some songs.
In 1997, Ritchie Blackmore dissolved the last Rainbow line-up, and soon with Candice founded a new project - Blackmore's Night, which gained immense popularity in many countries of the world thanks to colorful shows and folk songs from various countries of Northern Europe.

In the winter of 1994, Candice Knight became engaged to Ritchie Blackmore. Many years later, in the fall of 2008, the couple legitimized their relationship, and two years later, a young daughter was born to young spouses - Ötem Esmeralda. Two years later, Candice Knight gave birth to Blackmore son - Rory Dartanyan.
