Today, almost everything is prepared from this delicious offal, from the first courses to salads. Moreover, these dishes are good not only in the family circle, they will look great on the festive table.

Potted Chicken Hearts

To prepare this delicious dish (for five pots) we need:

  • 0.5 kg of chicken hearts
  • 300 g champignon
  • 5 pieces. potato (medium size)
  • 1 PC. carrots
  • 1 PC. onions
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 200g cheese
  • 350 ml cream (20%)
  • salt, pepper, spices

Before starting to cook chicken hearts, it is advisable to fill them with cold and slightly salted water and leave for an hour.

Shred the vegetables and fry over medium heat for five minutes (until soft).

Fry the sliced ​​mushrooms until all of the moisture comes out.

Chicken hearts can not be cut, but fried whole, sprinkled with salt and pepper for twenty minutes.

Peeled potatoes are cut into large cubes.

At the bottom of each pot, lay the potatoes, add a little and add a piece of butter. We spread mushrooms with the next layer, and chicken hearts on top. Sprinkle all this with spices (you can take a mixture of savory, oregano and basil) and put the prepared vegetables, pouring the cream into pots about halfway. Sprinkle with grated cheese on top.

We put in the oven preheated to 220 degrees.

Cooking time is thirty minutes. I would like to note that some housewives stack all the ingredients raw in layers. In this case, the top of the pot is covered with a circle of rolled dumplings dough mixed in milk. This kind of lid is very tasty and may well replace bread.

Skewered Chicken Hearts

Chicken hearts prepared in this way can be made a little sharper by adding more seasonings and garlic. So let's get started. We will need:

  • 1 kg of chicken hearts
  • 300 g of bell peppers (you can take a little hot)
  • 18 olives or olives (to taste)
  • wooden skewers

In addition, we need to prepare a marinade, for which we need to take:

  • vegetable oil (3-4 tbsp)
  • soy sauce (200 g)
  • honey or sugar (2 tablespoons)
  • seasoning, garlic, pepper

We carefully wash the chicken hearts, making an incision in the middle and washing the blood clots.

We make a marinade from the ingredients prepared for it and pickle hearts in it for three to four hours.

Wet the skewers and string the hearts on them so that they fit together. Try not to spoil the shape of hearts, in the cavity of which you can put pepper (sweet or bitter)

We fry the dish in a pan, periodically pouring marinade.

Pieces of bell pepper can be strung between the hearts, which will make their taste more tender. In the same way, you can cook chicken liver on skewers.

Chicken hearts stewed with potatoes and zucchini

To prepare this dish we need:

  • 600 g chicken hearts
  • 1 tbsp. cream or milk
  • 3 potatoes
  • 1 medium squash
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp flour
  • garlic, herbs
  • salt pepper, spices

Previously, the hearts are washed from blood clots, cutting them along. Pass the chopped onion in oil, adding chopped carrots. We lay the hearts and mix. Add a glass of water and simmer over low heat for forty minutes. Now add the chopped potatoes and pour the cream, pre-mixed with flour. Cook for five minutes.

Zucchini, previously coarsely chopped, add to the pan and add. The dish should languish for another ten minutes on low heat. Add garlic and seasonings, and after a minute you can remove from the heat. The dish should be infused for fifteen minutes before serving.
