Summary
The main character of the film is American teenager Jason (Michael Angarano), who is fond of films about kung fu and constantly visits the good old man's shop in Chinatown in search of new CDs. Everything is going well until street hooligans force and threaten the young man to help them rob the same shop. During the robbery, the old man was seriously wounded, but before losing consciousness, he hands Jason the Golden Staff with a request to return it to its rightful owner.
Fleeing from the hooligans, the teenager falls into a temporary funnel and mystically is transferred to China, where his adventures begin. Jason meets Lu Yang (Jackie Chan) - master of the drunken fist kung fu technique. He explains to the young man the importance of the weapon that fell into his hands, and tells the legend associated with him.
It turns out that the magic staff is the property and preservation of the immortal Monkey King (Jet Li), who during the battle with the evil Jade Warlord (Colleen Chow) was tricked and turned into stone. But before turning into a statue, the Monkey King managed to send his staff to the world of Jason.
Now Jason needs to find the Monkey King and return his weapons to him ...
Jet lee
The name Jet is the pseudonym for Wushu master Li Lianjie. Born in 1963, was the youngest child in the family. Since childhood, he was fond of sports, but after he got into a summer sports camp and got acquainted with wushu, he became interested in this sport seriously and for a long time. He regularly performed and won various championships and tournaments around the world. He was invited to celebrations, banquets and meetings of foreign delegations.
At 18, starring in his first film, "The Shaolin Temple," Li immediately becomes famous. Then there were shootings in other "Shaolin" films, after which he got his pseudonym Jet, which means "reactive" in translation.
