The Ukrainian company “Kiev Vitamin Plant” has developed the combined drug Magnikor, which is a generic of the Swiss medicine Cardiomagnyl.
Both medicines belong to antithrombotic agents.
The drug is available in tablet form, coated with a protective film coating. The medicine "Magnikor" (tablets) can be with the usual therapeutic dosage or with a high content of active substances and a more pronounced effect. Available in blisters of 10 pieces. The package contains 30 or 100 tablets.
Structure
The main active components of the drug are acetylsalicylic acid and magnesium hydroxide. Tablets with the usual dosage and "forte" differ in the content of active substances. As part of a preparation with a standard action, the amount of acetylsalicylic acid is 75 mg, and magnesium hydroxide is 15.2 mg. Forte tablets contain twice as many active ingredients.
To the auxiliary substances of Magnikor tablets, the instructions for use include corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, potato starch, magnesium stearate. The mixture for the film coating contains hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, milk sugar, triacetin, polyethylene glycol, titanium dioxide.
Mechanism of action
The main effect of the Magnikor drug (tablets) is determined by the presence of acetylsalicylic acid, or aspirin. Thanks to this substance, an anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, analgesic and antiaggregant effect is carried out. The main pharmacological effect is associated with inhibition of the synthesis of prostaglandins and thromboxane. An additional analgesic effect is due to the inhibition of cyclooxygenase. The anti-inflammatory effect occurs due to inhibition of the formation of prostaglandin E 2 , which in turn reduces the intensity of blood flow.
The instructions for use attached to the Magnikor preparation describe the role of acetylsalicylic acid in reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins belonging to class G and H. The duration of this effect is observed even with the complete removal of the active substance from the body. It is due to the influence of acetylsalicylic acid on the formation of thromboxane in platelet cells. The clinical manifestation of this effect is longer bleeding. The restoration of normal time occurs only after the formation of new platelets.
The hydroxide that is part of magnesium tablets has an antacid effect. It acts as a factor protecting the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract from the aggressive effects of acetylsalicylic acid, which causes irritation.

The drug "Magnikor" recommends taking the pill for chronic and acute ischemic heart muscle disease, which include unstable angina pectoris, acute myocardial infarction.
