Differences in temperaments, however, did not prevent these two from creating a pretty cozy family nest and even having children. Husband and wife lived together for many years, almost not noticing the presence of each other, ignoring the interests, hobbies and values that the rest of the family professes . Nevertheless, the idyll persisted only until the children grew. Unloved and abandoned to their fate, children were forced to "survive" on their own, their self-education and personal formation took place not at all under parental supervision.

Despite everything, Emily at the age of 16 seems to the viewer a rather positive and well-educated girl. She is in time at school, is fond of sports, behaves well, is an example of an “exemplary girl”. A turning point and a decisive moment in the fate of not only Emily, but of her entire family occurs when a girl takes part in important competitions - rope jumping. The athlete really needs fans, but none of her family members comes to support. At first, Emily feels devastated and deserted, but then a sense of rage and indignation takes hold of her.
The girl felt really tired from the fact that for so many years she and her brothers and sisters grew up in the atmosphere of parental egoism, not receiving simple children's joys, warmth, love and affection.
The climax of the story, or Crazy Weekend
She makes an irrevocable decision to radically change her home life and organizes a conspiracy with the rest of the children. They decide to give their ancestors a family weekend with trials. They not only take their parents hostage, but also conduct educational activities that should reason the negligent mom and dad, forcing them to think about the family.
And everything would certainly have worked out well if it had not been for the act of Jackson's elder brother, who posted his home video on the Internet, the footage of which in detail shows the events of this family drama. For all the participants of the “Weekend” this results in certain complications and creates problems, which will have to be resolved by an updated, united family.
