Beer is probably one of the most favorite drinks of many Russians. How pleasant it is to try a golden, foamy drink on a hot and sultry day, enjoying the velvety of each sip. Drink a mug before going to bed, sharing the taste of hops with salted fish or hot chips. Or just sit in the company of friends, slowly drinking an amber drink. There are a lot of brands, like beer producers, but only a few manage to establish themselves under the "premium" sign.

The history of “Old Miller” began not so long ago - in 1999, although the company that was engaged in the production of beer (“Moscow-Ephesus Brewery”) has existed on the market for more than a dozen years. A distinctive feature of the brewing concern is the release of large batches of foamy drink.
In fact, this is very important - often buying the same brand, you can be sure that the tastes from exactly the same bottles suddenly turn out to be unexpectedly different. The company confidently entered the twenty of the best brewing enterprises in the world, steadily settling in the 14th place. Thanks to modernly developed technologies, the Old Melnik beer received the status of premium - its light taste and the absence of hoppy bitterness very quickly fell to the taste of most Russians.
So tasty, but so different
The line of varieties of this beer is very diverse - it has eight different types.
Along with the Russians, Melnik is enjoyed by residents of Canada, Latvia, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Moldova and other countries. It is also noteworthy that the manufacturer chose a not quite familiar form in which the Old Melnik beer is sold - a keg. It would seem that this form would not be convenient for grasping the palm of your hand, but numerous fans of the foamy drink took the keg with great enthusiasm. The weakest type of fortress is “Stary Melnik Non-Alcoholic”. Fans can say with confidence - there is no non-alcoholic beer that could preserve and convey the taste of real hops. However, the producers of this brand managed to do this fully - tasting beer without degrees, it is difficult to believe that it does not contain hops.
Light, golden, strong
Beer "Old Miller Light" will appeal to lovers of mild tastes. Amber and light, it has a standard strength of 4.6%. This species is distinguished by the fact that in it there is absolutely not a drop of hoppy bitterness - it is pleasant to drink it in the heat and on a cool evening.
The next view is the "Old Miller Golden". In terms of alcohol content, it surpasses the previous beer - 5.2%. The color of the "Golden" is saturated, amazingly transparent and unusually bright. As the manufacturers intended, it was this variety that became premium in the entire foam line. It also differs in taste - it is more saturated and rich.
The description of the following type follows from its name - the beer "Old Melnik Strong". The alcohol content in it is increased - 6.5%. It is difficult to make out a bouquet of “Strong” - precisely because of the excess of alcohol-containing products. Rather, it can be called tough, which is justified (as already mentioned) by its name.
Draft nostalgia
The older generation remembers how tasty the beer was, which was sold right on the streets from large iron barrels. Its taste, its aroma, pleasantly burning tongue bubbles - the taste of a long-forgotten past. It was on this basis that the manufacturers of Melnik were based, trying to wake up the very nostalgia in customers.
And I must say, quite successfully. “Miller from Bochon” with a strength of 5.2% is the first test version of draft beer sold in cans and bottles of a new shape. Beer "Old Miller Soft" was a continuation of the barrel theme. Its strength is 4.2%, which, of course, affected the taste - soft and velvety. Another type is also velvety - “Old Melnik Velvetnoe”. Dark beer won the hearts of consumers with its sophistication, caramel aftertaste and rich color of burnt sugar.
Special taste, special sensations
The last type of this line is the beer “Old Melnik from the Special Keg”. Manufacturers approached the production of this grade with particular care. Unlike all previous varieties, only this beer is made on the basis of a special varietal hop, which gives the foam a unique harmonious taste - the “golden mean” between the saturation of the draft barrel and the softness of the branded “Miller”. The alcohol content in it is 4.6%, which is slightly more than usual, but not enough for strong.
By comparison, the beer “Old Melnik from the Barrel Soft” differs from the “Special” in strength by only 0.4%, but the difference in taste is simply amazing.
All eight species have one common and quite bright feature - beer is not only light and soft, but also refreshing.
Prestigious and reputable
They often say about the "Old Miller" - this is a beer made in Russia and for Russia. Foamy drink quickly established itself as a folk, which allowed him to become premium in a fairly short period of time. Beer has repeatedly been awarded high awards for unsurpassed quality, and since 2001 the brand has become the official sponsor of our Russian football players.
A few years ago, "Old Miller" took on another sponsorship - the famous rock festival "Wings". To date, beer is being produced at five large factories - Moscow, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Rostov and Ufa. The manufacturer is pleased with the constant change of designs - from youth to simply attractive country.
