Sickness "headache" does not happen - it hints at another disease

Cartoon warriors claiming that the head cannot hurt , since it is a bone, partly, oddly enough, are right. It really does not hurt the head, but inside it, and most often it is a symptom of the malaise or disease of one of the organs of the human body.

Everyone has a headache - some occasionally, others periodically. Her attacks are chased, according to statistics, every sixth person. The dislocation, forms and causes of this pain can be very different, the source can be in the brain, and in the vessels, and in the nerves. Stress, lack of sleep, overstrain, pressure drops, deficiency of any trace elements in the body, osteochondrosis, meningitis - the cause must be established and treated. But first - and all doctors agree on this - it is necessary to remove the symptom itself, that is, the pain. If you have a headache, you can’t tolerate it, and any first-aid kit that is (must be!) In any home medicine cabinet is suitable as a first aid: analgin, citramone, pentalgin, tempalgin, paracetamol, Zvezdochka balm and the like. No wonder they are dispensed in pharmacies without a prescription - this is so that a person suffering from a headache does not have to suffer until he gets to see a doctor. In addition, out of hundreds of headache attacks, only five can be a reason for hospitalization, the remaining cases of malaise can be dealt with without the help of doctors.

Everyone probably felt that the headache could be different, occur in different places and be accompanied by different side symptoms.

Let’s try to deal with “geography” first. A sensation when the whole head hurts is characteristic of a fever caused by a cold or an infectious disease. Pain in the frontal part of the head, on both sides above the eye sockets, may indicate eye diseases, and, possibly, poorly selected glasses. If a headache in the temples hurts, giving back to the back of the head, then the reason most likely is the difference in blood pressure. The pain that covers and squeezes, like a hoop, the forehead, temples and the back of the head is called the “pain of tension” and indicates overloads, emotional stress, and a long stay in an uncomfortable position.

Pain in the head and eyes can also indicate overwork, but they can also be harbingers of serious diseases - encephalitis, meningitis, and brain tumors. Pain on one side of the head behind the ear and in the temple "hints" at dental problems or otitis media. But when the headache is strictly in one part - right or left - with the epicenter in the temple, this is almost the most unpleasant and painful manifestation of a headache - migraine.

Suffering from migraines (and most often these are women, and the disease, as a rule, is inherited) they will not confuse this excruciating many hours of pain, the attacks of which can last up to three days. Nightmare pain is accompanied by nausea and increased sensitivity to sounds and light, so it is better to wait for the attack in a darkened room, taking vasodilators in the first phase, and vasoconstrictors in the second phase.

Not so painful, but obsessive and with a tendency to frequent repetitions, “pain of tension” is also called by doctors “helmet of a neurotic.” When a person, as a result of emotional overstrain or physical overwork, "puts" this "helmet" on himself, he has a monotonous and dull headache, as if the skull was squeezed by something. In these cases, natural sedatives (infusions, teas), self-massage of the head, or “combing out” of pain with a massage brush help the tablets better.

In those who lead an inactive lifestyle, as well as in patients with osteochondrosis, vegetovascular dystonia or experiencing other problems with pressure, headaches caused by spasm or vasodilation are not uncommon. Such pain pulsates in the temples and is accompanied by a general broken condition. In this case, painkillers alone are not enough - you need to control the level of blood pressure and take medications that normalize it. The right medicine will tell you the doctor.

And by the way, about the doctors. You can learn to cope with your headaches on your own and quickly get rid of them with pills, but this does not mean that you can eliminate their cause. Therefore, if you regularly, suspiciously often have a headache, be sure to consult a doctor. After all, a "sick" head may well "hint" at some more serious disease.
