The drug "Troxerutin" is a drug with angioprotective, decongestant, venotonic, anti-inflammatory activity. It is used to treat dermatitis, varicose veins, trophic ulcers, hemorrhoids, eliminate hematomas and edema.

The main ingredient of the Troxerutin medication, which is found to be mostly good, is the substance of the same name - a bioflavonoid, a rutin derivative that participates in redox processes, has a P-vitamin effect, stabilizes hyaluronic acid in the cell walls and blocks hyaluronidase. The drug reduces the fragility and permeability of capillaries, reduces exudative inflammation in the vascular walls and strengthens them, limiting the adhesion of platelets to the surface. It produces a decongestant effect, improves microcirculation, eliminates trophic and other pathological disorders provoked by chronic venous insufficiency (CVI). The drug is available in the form of a gel for topical use (manufacturers Vetprom, Sofarma, Vramed, Biochemist, Ozone) and capsules for oral administration (manufacturers Vramed, Sofarma, Zentiva, " Healing "). One gram of gel contains twenty milligrams of troxerutin, the drug is sold in tubes of 25 grams (Biochemist) and 40 grams (Ozone, Vramed, Vetprom, Sofarma). Capsules are available in packs of thirty ("Lechiva", "Zentiva") and fifty ("Vramed", "Sofarma"), each unit includes three hundred milligrams of troxerutin.
Dosage. Method of use
When using the “Troxerutin” medication in the form of capsules, the daily dose is six hundred to nine hundred milligrams (twice or thrice a day, one capsule). The therapeutic course is one to two weeks. For another three to four or more weeks, you can carry out maintenance treatment by taking two hundred to four hundred milligrams of the drug per day. With retinopathy, three hundred to six hundred milligrams is prescribed three times a day. At the same time, take the drug "Troxerutin" (capsules).
