Buckwheat with minced meat in a slow cooker is cooked quickly and easily. Such a dish can be done when you want to eat something wholesome, but there is very little time to prepare dinner. It is worth noting that children especially love buckwheat porridge with meat and sauteed vegetables.
Buckwheat with minced meat in a slow cooker: a step by step recipe
Required ingredients for the dish:
- chilled or frozen chicken fillet - 450 g;
- small onions - 5 pcs. (2 for minced meat and 3 for roasting);
- buckwheat - 2 faceted full glasses;
- flavourless vegetable oil - 65 ml (for frying);
- large fresh carrots - 2 pcs.;
- common salt, allspice and laurel leaves - add to the dish at your own discretion.
Meat processing
Buckwheat with minced meat in a slow cooker turns out delicious with any kind of meat. However, we decided to use only chicken. After all, such a product is prepared much faster in a kitchen device, it turns out much more tender and juicier. It should be washed well, separated from bones and skin, and then grind together with onion heads in a meat grinder. After this, mince must be seasoned with salt and ground pepper and mix until smooth.
Vegetable processing
In addition to cereals and semi-finished meat, buckwheat with minced meat in a slow cooker also includes products such as onion heads and fresh carrots. They need to be washed, finely cleaned and chopped with a knife. At the same time, it is recommended to grate carrots on a large grater.
Cereal processing
Absolutely all dishes of buckwheat and minced meat require careful processing of products. To make a delicious porridge in a minimum amount of time, it is necessary to sort out the cereals, wash, and then soak in cold water and leave for several hours. During this time, buckwheat should swell. If you do not have free time for such a procedure, then you can cook cereals right away.
Heat treatment
Before pouring buckwheat into a bowl of a kitchen appliance, it is recommended to fry prepared vegetables and meat in advance. To do this, pour carrots and onions into a slow cooker, and then flavor them with odorless sunflower oil and set the baking mode for 5-10 minutes. Next, add
minced chicken to the products and process it for a quarter of an hour. After all the ingredients are slightly fried, they must be mixed, and then put the buckwheat groats to them, which should be seasoned with salt, red allspice, parsley and 3-4 glasses of drinking water. In this composition, the dish needs to be cooked in buckwheat mode until the kitchen device sends out a signal about the end of the heat treatment.
When the minced chicken with buckwheat becomes completely soft, they need to be mixed well and distributed on plates.
How to serve to the table
Buckwheat porridge with vegetables and minced chicken breasts should be presented to the table in a hot condition. If desired, such a dish can be flavored with a piece of butter, and sprinkled with fresh herbs. In addition, it is advisable to present wheat bread and tomato sauce for buckwheat dinner.
