“Viva, Midshipmen!”: Actors and roles

In the painting “Viva, Midshipmen!” the actors continued the storyline of the previous film entitled "Midshipmen, Go!". Subsequent film adaptations of the story of a brave trinity from a navigational school did not gain much popularity, but there is something to see in this work of Svetlana Druzhinina.

Movie making

The permanent creator of the entire series of films about midshipmen is Svetlana Druzhinina. She managed to become one of the few well-known female directors. Moreover, her paintings enjoy remarkable success: “The Princess of the Circus”, “Secrets of the palace coups” and, of course, “Midshipmen, go!”. In the 90s. she began filming the continuation of the first film. So the tape “Vivat, Midshipmen!” Was born.

Actors in the new project basically moved from the first part of the trilogy. Anatoly Mukasey, the husband of Svetlana Sergeyevna, was working behind the camera again.

As in the first part, in the film “Vivat, Midshipmen!” sounded musical hits created by Viktor Lebedev.

The premiere of the next film by Druzhinina was scheduled for August 19, 1991. But historical events (the August putsch) prevented the author from presenting the film - it was shown only on August 31.

“Viva, Midshipmen”: actors and roles. Dmitry Kharatyan as Korsak

The name of Dmitry Kharatyan is now known to almost everyone. And for this, the actor should say thanks to Svetlana Druzhinina. Before filming in the "Midshipmen" Kharatyan, of course, starred in the movies, but now no one remembers these films: "The Draw", "The Green Van", "Speed" - these tapes do not even show on television these days.

But the role of Alyosha Korsak made the artist truly popular among several generations of viewers. Therefore, Kharatyan diligently continued to act in all the sequels of this story, including the film “Vivat, Midshipmen!”.

Actors of the main roles in general remained in the same composition. Alexey Korsak turned from a cadet of a navigational school into a confidant of Chancellor Bestuzhev. And in the second part he will be entrusted with an impartial mission to spy on his friends when they go to meet the future wife of Peter II to the Russian border.

The film "Viva, Midshipmen": actors and roles. Sergey Zhigunov as Alexander Belov

Sergei Zhigunov, approximately like Kharatyan, was not particularly popular until his collaboration with Druzhinina. In his piggy bank was perhaps the famous film "Two Hussars", in which he starred with Oleg Yankovsky, Alexander Abdulov and many other stars. All other works did not particularly affect Sergey’s career.

Svetlana Druzhinina originally planned to take Oleg Menshikov for the role of Belov. But the young actor at that time already starred in several films, so he did not succeed in breaking out onto the set to Druzhinina. I had to take Zhigunov for this role, but the director was not satisfied with his low hoarse voice, so Menshikov voiced the character anyway. And Alexander Domogarov gave his voice to Belov in the film “Vivat, Midshipmen!”.

Actors Zhigunov and Vladimir Shevelkov did not get along with Svetlana, so the performer the role of Nikita Olenev in the second part was replaced by Mikhail Mamaev. Sergey Zhigunov left the project after the release of the second part of the trilogy.

Mikhail Mamaev as Nikita

Actors of the film “Vivat, Midshipmen!” enough eminent, therefore, it was necessary to find a worthy candidate for the role of Olenev. However, Druzhinin took a chance and gave this role to the little-known Mamaev, who at that time starred in only two films: “Short Game” and “Jester”.

Nikita Olenev in the second part, finally found a lover. And not anyhow, but Frederick Anhalt-Zerbst herself - the future Empress Catherine II. Young people liked each other at first sight. Then Nikita Olenev did everything possible and impossible to deliver the princess to St. Petersburg. But their romance was never destined to end in a happy end.

After "Midshipmen", Mikhail Mamaev did not make a stunning career in the cinema. In the 92nd, he played the main role in the film "The Weekend with the Killer", and then played exclusively episodic roles. In the 2000s, Druzhinina invited the actor to her role in the series “Secrets of Palace Revolutions” for the role of Alexander Buturlin. Recently, Mamaev starred more often, giving preference to series.
