Immunomodulating drug 'Derinat'. Instructions for use, contraindications

The drug "Derinat" refers to the immunomodulating group of drugs. The active substance of the drug is sodium deoxyribonucleate. Derinat is available in the form of a solution for injection (intramuscular and subcutaneous).

Derinat is an effective stimulator of the cells of the immune system, it helps to increase the production of antibodies, thereby strengthening the body's protective functions. In case of infection with a viral, fungal or bacterial infection, the Derinat preparation serves as a catalyst for the immune response and optimizes inflammatory reactions; under its action, organs and tissues damaged by the disease are restored more quickly. In addition, the Derinat remedy helps to normalize blood formation processes and reduces toxic damage to the body during radio and chemotherapy.

To improve the functioning of the heart muscle, Derinat is an effective tool; the instruction recommends its use to prevent the death of muscle fibers. The purpose of the drug is no less justified in diseases of the digestive tract, "Derinat" activates the recovery processes in the mucous membrane and prevents the development of helicobacteriosis.

Due to the wide spectrum of action of the Derinat preparation, the instruction indicates a large list of indications for the use of the drug. Treatment with this effective immunostimulant is prescribed for the following lesions of the body:

- radiation attack due to previous therapy;

- peptic ulcer disease;

- coronary heart disease;

- non-healing wounds, trophic ulcers;

- complications of purulent-septic nature;

- rheumatoid arthritis;

- mycoplasmosis, chlamydia, ureaplasmosis;

- prostatitis and endometritis;

- pulmonary tuberculosis;

- obstructive renal disease;

- burn disease ;

- periods before and after operations, as a monotherapeutic agent;

- 2nd and 3rd stage of obliterating pathologies of vessels of the lower extremities;

- stomatitis caused by cytostatic therapy.

Despite the many positive properties of the Derinat preparation, the instructions for use also indicate some contraindications in which the drug should be discontinued or its dosage reduced. First of all, this applies to patients in whom a special sensitivity to the components of the drug is indicated. Prior consultation with the treating specialist requires taking the drug during pregnancy and during breastfeeding. He will conduct a full risk assessment and the possibility of using the medicine.

As medical practice shows, taking a medicine in some cases can cause a side effect. Patients with diabetes mellitus, for this reason with special care should be prescribed treatment with Derinat, the instruction warns of a possible reduction in sugar levels.
