Corinfar: indications for use, description of the drug

Preparations to combat various disorders in the work of the cardiovascular system are in special demand. The substance has the ability to release calcium ions from intracellular depots, and also reduces the activity of their flow into muscle cells (smooth muscles and cardiocytes) of arteries. Due to this property, coronary blood flow increases, blood supply to certain (ischemic) myocardial zones is stimulated, and the functions of the collaterals are activated. The action of the drug is rapid, the effect occurs within twenty minutes and lasts a long time (up to six hours in a row). Corinfar is available in yellow, convex, round-shaped tablets, covered with a smooth protective shell.

Corinfar: indications for use and contraindications

As mentioned above, the main indications for use are arterial hypertension and angina of intense and variant type. Contraindications to taking the drug, established by the manufacturer and developer themselves, are as follows:

  • arterial hypotension;
  • sensitivity to nifedipine and other components of the drug;
  • collapse;
  • cardiogenic shock;
  • unstable angina pectoris;
  • myocardial infarction in the first four weeks;
  • Lactation and early pregnancy;
  • taking rifampicin;
  • aortic stenosis ;
  • heart failure at certain stages.

"Corinfar" during pregnancy is contraindicated only in its early stages, however, and subsequently, its admission is allowed under strict medical supervision. Caution should be exercised in patients with mitral valve stenosis, impaired kidney and liver function, gastrointestinal obstruction, in old age, as well as with circulatory disorders in the brain, tachycardia, bradycardia. When taking Corinfar medicine, the indications for use, contraindications and the simultaneous use of other drugs are necessarily taken into account. The appointment of the drug is carried out only by a doctor, its uncontrolled intake can cause serious disturbances in the activity of various body systems.

Method of admission

The wrong way to take Corinfar medicine is under the tongue. The tablet is resorbed slowly, but not swallowed and not washed down with water, which leads to an early release of the active substance. It is not right. The drug is not recommended to chew. It must be swallowed with plenty of water. The patient should not eat food before taking, since the active substance is most effective on an empty stomach. Overdose of the drug manifests itself in the following forms: loss of consciousness, coma, a sharp drop in blood pressure, hyperglycemia, hypoxia, tachycardia, bradycardia, metabolic acidosis. Treatment is carried out on an emergency basis in the form of gastric lavage, artificial vomiting, restoration of the heartbeat. In especially difficult cases, resuscitation measures are carried out and the patient is hospitalized under the constant supervision of doctors. In some cases, a heart rate driver is implanted into the patient.

Storage, dispensing from pharmacies

Corinfar is a prescription drug, its use is strictly controlled. Shelf life of the drug is three years, subject to storage rules. The drug should not be exposed to temperatures above 30 degrees.
