How to Make the Simplest Bean Dish - Braised Beans

Bean Main Dish : Bean Stew Soup with Meat

Essential Ingredients:

  • 2 cups white beans;
  • 1 onion;
  • about 300 grams of beef or pork;
  • 2 tbsp. tablespoons of butter;
  • 3 tbsp. tablespoons of tomato paste or a few fresh tomatoes;
  • salt, spices and herbs to taste.

Cooking

  1. Sort beans and soak for 5-10 hours.
  2. Cut the meat into medium pieces, fill with cold water (3-4 liters) and bring to a boil, removing the foam. After reducing the heat, cook the meat broth for 30-50 minutes (depending on the stiffness of the product).
  3. Drain the beans and pour them into boiling soup.
  4. Dice the onion and sauté until golden brown. Pour tomatoes or tomato paste, minced through a meat grinder, a little diluted with water (1: 5), pour into a pan, let the mass simmer for 5-10 minutes. Then put the frying in a boiling broth, salt to taste. If desired, you can add potatoes to the dish, slightly reducing the specified volume of beans.
  5. After 30-40 minutes of boiling, try the grains for softness. If necessary, continue cooking until the beans are ready.
  6. Season with spices and herbs.

Essential Ingredients:

  • about 200 grams of smoked brisket or sausage;
  • 1 onion;
  • 1 carrot;
  • 3-4 fresh tomatoes;
  • 2 stalks of celery;
  • 4-5 medium potatoes;
  • 1 bell pepper;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • 2 tbsp. tablespoons of vegetable oil;
  • 1 tbsp. a spoonful of grated hard cheese;
  • salt and seasoning to taste.

Cooking

  1. Pour the beans with cold water and leave for at least 2 hours. Then rinse again and set to boil, pouring the broth, so that it contains 3-4 centimeters of liquid.
  2. Onions, tomatoes, peppers, carrots, celery cut into cubes and fry in a deep pan. Do not immediately mix all the vegetables. Follow this sequence of adding products to the total mass every 2-3 minutes of cooking - onions, carrots, peppers, celery, tomatoes. Salt the resulting thick mixture a little and leave to simmer until fully thickened.
  3. After 30 minutes of boiling the beans, pour the diced potatoes and brisket into the pan. After boiling add vegetable dressing to stew .
  4. Cook the dish until the potatoes are ready. Season with seasonings and salt to your taste.
  5. Before turning off the heat, add finely chopped garlic, mix and sprinkle with grated cheese. Serve the bean dish hot.
