Musical Theatre
Musical Comedy Theater (Minsk) was established in 1970. His first performance was called The Lark Sings. The music for the production was written by Belarusian composer Yuri Semenyako.
The theater received its building in 1981. On Myasnikov Street, a room was specially built for him. Soon the repertoire expanded, in addition to musical comedies and operettas, it included musicals, revues, ballets, performances for children, concerts, rock operas, festivals and so on. Accordingly, the troupe had to be increased.
In 2000, the musical comedy theater was renamed the musical. And in 2009 he was awarded the title "Academic".
Today, the musical theater is one of the most popular not only in Minsk, but throughout Belarus. During the year, artists receive more than 250 thousand spectators.
The theater provides discounts and even the right to attend the performance for free to privileged categories of citizens. Excursions and meetings with actors are held for students and schoolchildren.
The year 2013 was marked by a loud premiere. The theater staged the musical "Sophia Golshanskaya." Its premiere took place in the open. The performance won several awards at once in the competition "National Theater Award".
The theater also organizes various festivals. One of them is the Week of Musical Art. The festival is attended by conductors, critics, artists, directors and theater directors. As part of the Week of Musical Art, the best performances of the season are shown on the stage of the theater. Also, master classes for young artists and students are held.

The purchase is held in reserve and does not go on sale again 72 hours. During this time, you need to buy tickets. If payment has not been made, then after 72 hours the reservation is automatically withdrawn and the tickets go on sale again.
The musical theater is actively touring. They know him, love and wait not only in other settlements of Belarus, but also in the countries of near and far abroad.
Over the past 6 years, the troupe has made 60 trips. Among the countries visited by the theater are Spain, Germany, the Czech Republic, Latvia, China, Lithuania, Portugal, Poland, etc. Artists visited such cities of Russia as Smolensk, Tula, Yekaterinburg, Kaluga, Petrozavodsk.

Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater
Musical theaters of Minsk most clearly represent the temple of art, created in 1933. Although it will be historically correct to believe that he began his existence in the 1920s. 20th century. It was then that a drama theater was formed , the troupe of which also included a choir, ballet, opera soloists and a small orchestra. The repertoire was based on musical dramas. As a result, the collective was reorganized in 1933 into an opera and ballet theater. In 1940, the word "Big" was added to the name. And in 1964, the theater was awarded the title "Academic".
In 1996, there was a reorganization. In the toga, the theater was divided into two - opera and ballet. But in 2009, the troupes were again united into one.
The theater’s repertoire includes classical operas and ballets: “The Snow Maiden”, “Nabucco”, “Tristan and Isolda”, “La Traviata”, “Tosca”, “Chopeniana”, “Carmen”, etc.
The auditorium is designed for 1200 people.
