In recent years, modern housewives who value their time and do not want to stand by the stove for a long time, but still want to pamper their relatives and guests with delicious dishes, have a great opportunity to do this. A thin loaf of bread made from flour, water and salt will help them out, in other words, Armenian pita bread. With it, you can quickly cook original and easy-to-cook dishes.
Such blanks can be taken with you on the road, on a picnic and not be afraid to get your hands dirty. And itβs not a shame to put a plate with chopped pita bread on the festive table. It will be very good if you make the fillings in rolls different for every taste.
The easiest to prepare can be considered rolls of pita bread with crab sticks. On the Internet, you can find a large number of recipes about this. But still the basic components remain the same:
- thin pita bread (usually 3 sheets),
- a package of mayonnaise. Typically, less mayonnaise is added to the crab stick roll than the whole bag.
- packaging of crab sticks. Alternatively, you can take crab meat, preferably chilled. We recommend chopping crab sticks on a grater to obtain a gentle taste of roll.
The rest of the product set may be as follows:
- boiled eggs. It will take 3 or 4 pieces.
- greens (parsley and dill) in 1 bunch. You can replace the lettuce, it turns out also very tasty. Can be replaced with thin slices of fresh cucumber. Any greens are appropriate here.
- garlic. One or two cloves is best crushed using a press.
- fried carrots and onions. Add to make the roll more satisfying.
- salt and black pepper.
A few words about cheese: in the case when processed cheese is taken, it is necessary to choose a product with the highest percentage of fat content, this will make it easy to spread it on pita bread. If the cheese is hard, grate it on a fine grater. If you are preparing a roll of pita bread with crab sticks in advance, it is better to choose hard cheese, otherwise the roll will become sour.

If you are supposed to get pita roll with a lot of ingredients, it would be better if you do this: take the first sheet of pita bread, put it with the wide side to you. Next, apply a thin layer of mayonnaise.
Now you need to spread out several ingredients in a uniform layer. For example, sprinkle pita bread with grated crab sticks and an egg. Salt and pepper. Again apply a thin mesh of mayonnaise and roll tightly with a roll.
Take the second sheet of pita bread, apply a thin layer of mayonnaise and spread the cheese and herbs. Add chopped garlic. On the edge of this expanded pita bread, put our first roll and tightly wrap them already together. Do not overdo it with a lot of mayonnaise. It only worsens the taste of the dish. If there are few ingredients, it is quite possible to twist everything into one layer of pita bread. In the case when fried onions and carrots are included in pita roll with crab sticks, mayonnaise should be used in small quantities.
Make the edges of the roll even, carefully trimming the excess with a knife. Wrap pita bread with crab sticks in a plastic wrap and leave for a couple - soak for three hours.
Before serving, free the dish from the cling film and cut transversely into slices about two centimeters thick. Spread the resulting rounds on a dish and decorate with greens.
Many serve cold pita bread roll with crab sticks, but you can also put the dish in the microwave for about 50 seconds.
If it turned out that the lavash you bought was not as fresh as you would like, and the sheets became stubborn and callous, place it in the microwave for about a third of a minute and then boldly proceed to prepare the roll.
