Lacey Baskerville is a character in the anime and manga "Pandora's Hearts." It was the meeting of Lacy and Jack Bezarius that led to the fact that in the future the whole city fell into the Abyss, and the whole world was in danger of destruction. In the anime, Lacey Baskerville was only mentioned, but in the manga this character is fully disclosed.
Appearance
Lacy is a fragile and beautiful girl. She has red eyes, "in which you can drown." This eye color is the main sign of “a child with misfortune." Long dark hair is collected in two braids. Her daughters, dark and light Alice, look very much like her.
Lacy is of aristocratic origin, because she wears beautiful expensive outfits and jewelry. Her favorite outfit color is red, although for the first time Lacy appears in a light, light dress, despite the cold and frost.
Character
Lacy Baskerville at first glance is a pretty cheerful and active girl. Freedom-loving and indomitable, she is constantly looking for adventure.
Since Lacy’s brother, Oswald, was to become the new head of the Baskerville clan, his very existence influenced his sister, as a result of which she was born “a child bearing misfortunes,” and therefore had to be sacrificed to the Abyss. However, even knowing the impending end, the girl enjoys this life. It seems that there are no obstacles in front of her, she is in a hurry to live. Yet sometimes she is tormented by nightmares about falling into the Abyss. It is evident that Lacy did not fully accept her fate, however, she does nothing to change her.
Lacy is very caring towards Jack, but seems to not even understand that she is now responsible for the one she tamed. Lacy often runs away from home, picks up new favorites, and then leaves them forever. She without hesitation plays other people's lives, as if avenging her impending death.
Lacey Baskerville does not belong to this world. She is strong and fearless. She is ruthless towards those who are trying to harm her. The girl without hesitation brutally kills the bandits who tried to abduct her. She seemed to enjoy the color of their blood and a sense of her own power.
Meeting with jack
For the first time, we see Lacy Baskerville as a child. Despite the snow and cold, the girl is dressed only in a light short dress. She walks through the gateways. Lacy ran away from home and is not going to return until she is asked to apologize by the head of the clan. In one of the alleys, she finds little Jack Bezarius, the illegitimate son of Lord Bezarius.
The girl is interested in this boy. She is trying to understand how he ended up in this situation. Jack is broken, he has no desire to live, and Lacey tells him that he simply does not have the determination to live. She takes care of the boy: brings him food, cuts his hair, talks to him a lot.
Jack and Alice are attacked by bandits who want to sell the girl. Lacy ruthlessly destroys them, using the power of the Abyss. Sensing a surge of strength, the members of the Baskerville house come for Lacy and take her with them. Before leaving, Lacey gives Jack his earring and says where he can find it.
A new meeting with Jack and death
Jack finds Lacey Baskerville eight years later. He enters a reception hosted by the Baskervilles under the guise of a musician. Jack rushes to Lacy and hugs her, but Lacy's brother stabs him. When they ask Lacy if she knows this person, the girl replies that she doesn’t. This is a lie, because the girl recognized the earring donated to Jack. Lacy later decides to speak with Jack. It seems that the guy’s dedication and perseverance is touching her.
Four months later, it is time for Lacy to say goodbye to this world. As a "child who brings misfortune," Lacey must be sacrificed to the Abyss. As a result, she will fall out of the cycle of rebirth, her soul will be completely destroyed. Her brother Oswald at this moment will become the head of the Baskerville clan and will take the name Glen.
Lacey admits that for her, Jack is only a toy and a way to kill time, his constant pursuit of her dislikes. She does not tell him about her imminent demise and sends him away, promising an early meeting.
Lacy goes through the rite of overthrow in the Abyss. At this moment she is pregnant and wears twins in her womb.
Since only Lacey is cursed, the Abyss does not touch the children in her womb. They are born. Since time moves differently in the Abyss than on Earth, one of her daughters comes from the Abyss a few days after the death of Lacy. The girl's name is Alice. The second twin, also called Alice, remains imprisoned in the Abyss.

In the anime and manga "Pandora's Hearts," Lacy Baskerville is one of the central characters. Lacy is multifaceted and ambiguous. It seems that the girl carries darkness within herself, she plays with other people's destinies: she rescues Jack Bizarius from death, but she also breaks it completely with her indifference. Lacy obeys fate and goes through the rite of overthrow into the Abyss. However, wanting to help the head of the clan with the experiment, she becomes the mother of two Alice, as a result of which the Abyss gains the will and material embodiment in the form of her daughters.
